The Hitting Center

We had the privilege of hosting the WPBL San Francisco players and coaches for a home-cooked meal last night.

These players and coaches have been away from their families for weeks, so we were happy to give them a place to unwind, enjoy good food, play games, do a little fishing, and just enjoy a relaxed setting.

A huge thank you to the Laurents for opening their home, hosting, and cooking, and to the Seiders and Blakeman families for cooking, helping out, and making the evening possible!

Sometimes the best memories happen away from the field. We loved being able to give them a little taste of home and a chance to relax and enjoy themselves.

GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

The Women's Professional Baseball League is in search of talented teenage baseball and softball players from the Springfield area that are interested in being Official WPBL Ballgirls and Batgirls. These youth athletes will be part of the action and will be posted in the dugouts and down the foul lines during games. Responsibilities will included retrieving and securing foul balls, setting up the on deck circle for WPBL batters, replenishing balls to the plate umpire, and retrieving baseball bats after hits. Ballgirls and batgirls must be experienced at baseball or softball and must be at least 12 years old. Interested families should contact Jeff Gardner at [email protected]
