Spent the morning exploring the Onion Creek Jeep trail near Moab and catching up on laundry. Set up the clothes dryer at camp!

While at the Canyonlands National Park-Island in the Sky, we completed the Shafer & Potash Trails, featuring iconic steep and dramatic switchbacks into the canyon and to Potash Rd. We viewed the sight of the Thelma & Louise movie car lunch over the cliff and into the Colorado River and ended near Moab. We grabbed a late night dinner and again camped at Mineral Point (a BLM area) for the night.

After driving to Moab and grabbing lunch, we headed to Canyonlands National Park-Island in the Sky). Fortunately we found a BLM area (Mineral Point) to camp that night.

Did my first Utah Jeep trail…Elephant Hill. Was told it was an advanced technical trail; more like Billy goat rated! This should be a higher rated trail…Major pucker factor with steep ledges, big rocks/drops and No room for error. My rig is not an extreme rock crawler (it is a very capable overloaded overlander)and decided it wasn’t worth dying over. Completed half of the trail and had to turn around and do it again 😜. Pictures don’t show half of it!

We spent the day hiking the trails around the Needles District. Just a few pics from the day on Cave Spring, Wooden Shoe, Stone Storehouse, Pothole Point, and Lost Canyon. Threat of rain was looming but held off till the end of the day.

Today took us to Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Newspaper Rock, and into the Canyonlands. We camped at Needles Campground....

Today took us to Hovenweep, Natural Bridges, Newspaper Rock, and into the Canyonlands. We camped at Needles Campground. Amazing campsite near a technical Jeep Trail for later!

While in Mesa Verde we toured both the Balcony House and Cliff Palace cliff dwellings. Amazing architecture and still standing!

All packed up and heading out for our Utah Trip! Only 1 stop in Kansas at Cousin Eddie’s and then onto Colorado for our first night stay at John Martin Reservoir.

Completed some modifications of the tent area in preparation for our next trip. Tried to make an efficient way to vent the Zero Breeze cold air and exchange to and from the tent. Think this will work well!
