TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS!!!!! I cannot express how incredibly proud Bridgette, Gary and I are of these girls. Yesterday we went 1-2 in pool play earning the 5th seed. Today we went 3-0 to win the entire USSSA SW Ohio Border Battle. These girls played on hot turf all day in the blazing sun. They have the sunburns to prove it. Every one of them contributed and pulled their weight. They pushed through and gave it their all until the very end. Going into the championship game their tanks were empty and they still battled and rallied. Madi and Savanna did amazing in the circle this weekend. Madi threw 67.78% strikes and Savanna was right behind her with 63.03%. Teanna and Hannah were beast behind the plate.

The amount of effort, their attitudes and enthusiasm was contagious. Along with the smiles!!!!! We love this group of girls and couldn’t ask for better teammates.

Madi was given the MVP ball from the other team for the Championship game and Lizzie had a bat that was on fire and was given the MVP chain for the weekend.

Just a few highlights. There were so many I’m sorry if I miss something.

Lizzie went 10-15 (.668) with 4 doubles and a triple
Teanna had a .455 BA
Anna had a .417 BA with 2 doubles
Carmen had a .357
Hannah and Savanna both had a .333and each had a double

All 10 girls each and every one had multiple hits over the weekend.

Lizzie, Anna, McKenna and Teanna had zero strikeouts.

Teanna and Carmen stole 4 bases each. While McKenna stole 3.

Teanna had a great eye and patience at the plate with 5 walks.
