The Springfield Little Britches Rodeo was a success! The Friday evening performance under the bright lights was a little chilly, but the weather was perfect for the Saturday and Sunday performances. We had 46 contestants for the Friday performance, 54 for the Saturday performance and 59 for the Sunday performance. A BIG Thank you to the County Commissioners, County Maintenance Crew and the County Road Crew for getting the fair grounds mowed and the arena and track rodeo ready! The weekend wouldn’t have been successful without the help of the rodeo parents and volunteers who stepped in to help run the gates, set barrels, poles, run the timers and hold the goats! A Special Thank You to American Implement for bringing over a tractor; to Caleb Bullock for loaning us his arena rake; to Mark Hall for being our tractor driver and keeping the dirt raked for each performance; to Dewayne Turner for manning the stripping shoot! And last, but certainly not least Joanna Patterson for doing a fantastic job as our rodeo secretary!
