A Personal Note from Director and Coach Marty Eddings

After nearly five years of starting and building the soccer program at Lighthouse, I am writing to share that I have submitted my resignation as Soccer Director and Head Coach as of May 23, 2026. I will continue to serve in all capacities until May 23, 2026.

Following the spring season, our current coaching and administrative staff will be transitioning to launch a new homeschool program, Trinity Academy, starting with the Fall 2026 season.

This was a deeply prayerful decision. I have poured everything I have into this community, and I truly believe something special was built here.

We want to share openly that this move is purely a step of obedience to God’s calling and His perfect timing. While transitions can bring questions, please know that this decision comes from a place of great peace and a desire to follow where we feel led for this next season. There is no “wrong” behind this, only a sense of “right” in pursuing the new path He has set before us to serve the homeschool community.

I am deeply grateful for the years spent with the Chargers since 2022 and for the friendships formed within this community. We are 100% committed to finishing this season with excellence.

Deadline to Register is January 20th

Homeschool, Public and Private School players are eligible to join since this is not in season and strictly club soccer.

(High school age girls will be in MSHSAA season)

2026 SPRING SEASON INFORMATION

PRACTICE:
Starts on February 23rd and ends on May 15th.
Mondays and Thursdays 5:30 to 7:00pm
at Allison Sportstown Springfield, MO.

COST:
$255 (League Fees, Practice Field Rental, & Uniform Fees)

UNIFORM:
$138 is for 2 kits. Home and Away. If you have your uniforms from last year you only need to reorder if you need a new size.

We will NOT collect any payments by cash/check for the Spring season, so your options will be to pay in full at registration or pay $127.59 deposit at registration and then $127.50 on Feb 1st.

Coaches Needed: if you are willing to coach a team we will be giving a 50% discount for one player.

LEAGUE INFO:
We will play an 8-game season at Lake County Soccer Complex in Springfield, MO from March-May.

TOURNAMENT INFO:
There is a possibility we may play in the Coca Cola/ Dr Pepper classic at Lake County in April If we have enough players and interest.

BIRTH YEARS FOR TEAMS:
We will merge ages as needed to form teams.

Lighthouse Christian girls high school soccer registration is now open. We have a limited number of spots so don’t miss out on joining one of the top high school girls teams in SWMO. All the info about the season can be found on our website lcachargers.com under programs then soccer. You can also find the registration link on that page. Email soccer.director@lcachargers with any questions you may have.

Last year registration filled up in 2 days. Once it is full we will close registration down and will not accept any more players at that time. If you have eligibility questions email the soccer director before registering.

Here are some key things to know that can also be found on our website in more detail.

-9th-12th grade girls
-Reg Cost $400
-Uniforms $178
-Practice at Allison Sports Town
-Monday and Thursday 5-7
-Season runs end of Feb through beginning of May
-We play mostly local high school MSHSAA teams
-It is a competitive team as we play 3A and 4A schools
-We have a both a JV and Varsity team

Join us this Winter to play futsal or indoor soccer in the Lake County indoor league. We will have separate boys and girls teams from U8 all the way to U19. U8-U14 will play Futsal while U15-U19 will play indoor soccer. This is a non sanctioned league so any player can play with us, public, private or homeschool players all accepted. It is a 8 games season and practices will start in December and go through the end of February. Games start in January and end in late Feb for HS girls and in early March for all others. Cost is $165 a player and covers a sublimated jersey, league registration fees and practice rental cost.

We will form ages for all teams we have enough players for. Some teams will fill up quickly as this is one of our most popular seasons that gets the most registrations. Registration is open 10/1-10/30. If you have any questions email [email protected].

If you are not already a Chargers member you will need to register for that and pay the annual fee before you will be eligible to register for the soccer season. You can do this at our website lcachargers.com. Link is on front page.

2025 Lighthouse Christian Chargers Boys High School Soccer Team

The National Homeschool Soccer Association has created a new site with every homeschool soccer team in the United States listed. Found out there are 110 organizations with high school soccer programs. We were excited to see that the preseason ranking of all 110 varsity teams put us in the top 25 at number 22. We are grateful and humbled to be in the top 25.
I also want to thank all the Chargers Soccer players from the past 4 years for helping build this program to what we have today. Without them we would not be in the running to be one of the top teams. The season starts next month and we are looking to move up on this list. Let’s go!
