Let’s talk Instagram vs. Reality… ⬇️
We, at Dominate, strive to focus on the technical breakdown and proper ex*****on of jazz technique. To do so, we always prep our classes to be the space to learn and GROW; not to feel like we have to showcase something “for the video” or “for the gram”.
In a world where dance is evolving into trying to showcase the “next big trick”, we want to take a moment to remind ourselves that the big “wow” moments come from hours of focusing/mastering the basics and fundamentals that help provide us the capability to move our bodies in the ways the dance world is expecting us to move.
While social media is and should be a huge asset in the dance world, let’s not forget that we’re never too old to focus on and practice our fundamental training 👏🏼
