Soccer in the Pines Tournament

Soccer in the Pines Tournament Soccer in the Pines Tournament has been played in the AZ high country for almost 30 years. This will Soccer in the Pines Tournament is an Arizona Tradition.

In the beginning the tournament was played in Payson over the 4th of July. But we moved it to Memorial weekend to take advantage of much better weather. While it's already over 100 in Phoenix and Tucson, in the high country it's much cooler. Summer leagues are hot and too many people miss for vacations. Tournaments are perfect way to get your kicks! THIS TOURNAMENT!!! There were only 5 teams made

the first memorial weekend tournament. But since then we've added teams and divisions, and we're working on adding even more. With all the growth, we moved to Flagstaff for a couple of years, but now we are comfortably in Prescott Valley. Teams really like the fields, it's closer than Flagstaff and there is so much more to do than when we were in Payson. Seriously, What team isn't looking for a good economical summer tournament? And now, through our partner EventConnect, we can help lower the cost of hotel rooms. The rooms and discounts don't last, so book early. Once registration is open, teams can hold a place in the tournament with a $150 deposit. However, they are allowed to choose their place in the fixture upon full payment. Basically, you can choose your game times. This year the deadline is May 8th for team registration. The Fixture will be up by the 10th and team will start deciding what schedule they'd rather play..

Dear Soccer in the Pines Tournament Teams, Players and Friends,

After 15 incredible years of managing Soccer in the Pines, I’m thrilled to announce that I am transferring management of the tournament into the capable hands of Arizona Sports League / Small Goal Soccer. This decision ensures the event you love will continue to thrive under new, capable hands.

Arizona Sports League, led by the experienced Adam Thelwell, brings a wealth of resources and a strong regional network to keep the tournament running smoothly. Rest assured, the tournament’s format will remain largely unchanged, preserving the experience you’ve come to expect.

You will be notified when tournament registration opens for next year, and new registration links will be provided at that time. For any questions, please reach out to Adam at [email protected].

On a personal note, I’m excited to join you on the field next May... if my division has enough teams. I can enjoy the game without the stress of managing the whole event solo!

Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing you at the tournament.

Best regards,

Will Bullock

This was so sad...

Just hours before he died, the star shared a wedding post with his 3.5 million followers and commented, “A day we will never forget.”

This is the 4th win for our Men's 45s Champions, Los Moros. In pool play, they scored 11 goals and had 3 clean sheet shutouts! But this year they won without even breaking a sweat... literally. Both teams wanted to play at a different time so they could go watch the Mexican League final, but we didn't have an available field or referees. Then the Rec Department didn't turn on the lights, and that's all the excuse that some players needed to go watch the game. The lights did come on just a few minutes after the other two fields, so they could have played.
To their credit, the whole Los Moros team stayed to play, and they were rewarded with the trophy... AGAIN! Well done Coach Rene and team!

The 2025 CoEd Competitive Champion is Real Alianza. Talk about overcoming... Their game started befor the city's light fiasco. They played about 20 minutes before it got too dark to play. When the lights finally came on they were able the play the second half and bring home the victory.
