💚 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY ⚾
Under every baseball cap is a young mind still learning.
Behind every jersey is a little boy growing into a young man.
A boy who wants to make his parents proud. Who wants his coaches to believe in him. Who wants to belong. Who sometimes carries worries, insecurities, and battles we may never see.
At Dayton Impact, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond teaching the game of baseball.
We are helping shape young men.
Young men who understand that making mistakes doesn’t make them failures. That asking for help is a sign of courage. That their worth isn’t determined by a batting average, an error, or whether they make the starting lineup.
Because the most important thing we will ever develop isn’t a baseball player. It’s the person underneath the uniform.
To our players: You are seen. You are valued. You are loved. And you are so much more than this game.
To our coaches and parents: May we always remember that our words have the power to build confidence, restore hope, and leave an impact that lasts long after the final inning.
Today, we’re saying a special prayer for the children who are fighting battles they don’t know how to put into words. For the parents doing their best while carrying struggles of their own. For the coaches and staff who have the opportunity to be a light in a child’s life. And for the families who are navigating difficult seasons, both seen and unseen.
May God give us the patience to listen, the compassion to understand, the wisdom to recognize when someone is struggling, and the courage to remind one another that nobody has to face life’s hardest innings alone. 💚
Because sometimes, the greatest impact we can make has nothing to do with baseball.
