Our journey at PGF Nationals came to an end yesterday with a hard-fought 8-7 loss and one game short of top 8.
Of course we’re disappointed, but this team has absolutely nothing to hang its head about.
Over the past few days these girls competed against great teams from all over the country, finishing with impressive wins over:
Stars National Coleman 16U (6-2)
WA Angels Gold Jager/Benson (10-1)
Arizona Storm Hill Royer (10-8)
CA Grapettes (10-0)
Every inning was earned. Every win was earned. Every lesson was earned.
What I’m most proud of isn’t the record—it’s the way these young ladies competed. This group learned how to fight! They played with grit, trusted each other, battled through adversity, and represented the Hotshots with class from the first pitch to the last unlike some of the teams we played.
To our players, thank you for believing in one another.
To our parents and families, thank you for every mile traveled, every early morning, every hotel stay, and every word of encouragement.
To everyone who followed along, sent messages, and cheered us on from home—thank you. Your support means more than you know.
This chapter ends here, but our story doesn’t.
We are HOTSHOTS!
