As many of you know, OVRTK became black + white… and to some of you, it probably felt like it happened overnight. 😂

The gym. The merch. The branding. Black. White. Little bit of camo. Repeat.

So it was no surprise when Jason came to us with a very important concern: OVRTK was seriously lacking in the fun color department.

And honestly? He had a point. So JB got to work sending us color combos he felt like he, and the OVRTK community, could use to add a little color back into our lives.

We loved them. Jordan + Carli brought them to life.

And just like that… OT x JB was born in all of its neon glory.

Which ALSO sparked a pretty great idea from Coach Arin: an OVRTK athlete shirt design contest to see who gets to be our next featured athlete collab. 👀

More on that soon.

We love the leaderboard. We love competition.

We want you looking at the person next to you and thinking, I can hang with them today. We want you chasing PRs, celebrating each other, tracking your progress, and pressing that RX button. 

But the leaderboard is a TOOL, not the purpose of training.

Every workout is written with an intention. A stimulus. A reason behind the reps, loading, movements and time domain.

And sometimes the best way to get closer to your goals is to slow down. Work on a skill. Move well. Listen to your coach. Leave your ego out of the decision.

Then there are days when we WANT you to compete.

And when that day comes? GO. 🔥

Chase the person next to you. Talk the talk. Empty the tank. See what you’ve got.

We are not saying don’t care at all about the leaderboard, but what we are saying is... Use the leaderboard. Don’t let the leaderboard use you.

Fitness can get complicated *really* fast.

Did I train enough this week?
Should I be lifting heavier?
Am I progressing fast enough?
Why can they do that and I can’t?
I missed two days… did I already blow it?
This IG fitness influencer said I should ____

But most of the time, getting better, fitter, stronger is a lot simpler than we make it.

Less all or nothing. More showing up.
Less comparison. More progress.
Less ego. More intention.
Less perfect. More consistent.
Less “I should.” More “I did.”
Less waiting. More starting.

You don’t have to do everything.

You just have to keep doing something.
And then do it again tomorrow 🙂

When you look at this photo, it may look like your typical “post-class” picture, but look a little closer and you’ll see a whole lot more than a 10AM CrossFit class.

You see coaches and brand-new athletes.
You see someone who has been doing CrossFit for almost two decades standing next to someone who started two months ago.

Different ages. Different abilities. Different life stories. Different goals.

But today, we all did the same workout.
Ski. Burpee box get-overs. Repeat 4 times.
Some skied fewer calories. Some moved faster. Some moved slower. But every single person in this photo did burpee box get-overs. Every. Single. One.

That’s what we love about CrossFit.
The workout doesn’t have to look exactly the same for it to be something we do together.

And this is just the 10AM class.

By the end of today, we’ll have had 8 classes come through these doors. Eight different groups of people with different experience levels, abilities, goals, and seasons of life. And we know the same thing will be true in every single one of them.

People will adjust what they need to adjust. They’ll be challenged in different ways. They’ll push the person next to them. And they’ll all leave a little stronger than they walked in.

Different starting points. Same room. Same effort. Same team.

That’s a pretty great way to spend a Monday. 🤝

Weightlifting Workshops are here. You told us you want to be better at weightlifting, but let's be honest we can ALL get better at weightlifting.

The next five Saturdays, we’re breaking down the sn**ch and clean + jerk: the terminology your coaches use, the positions we’re looking for, and the little details that make a BIG difference.

The breakdown:
3 weeks → Sn**ch
1 week → Clean
1 week → Clean + Jerk

Whether you’re still figuring out what “the power position” means or, you’ve been lifting for years and still don't make contact when you sn**ch, we want to sharpen the details, learn, practice, ask questions, and get better.
