🇺🇸 Boot Camp is well underway, but the journey is far from finished.

As our Marine continues through the next phase of training, he will be tested physically, mentally, and spiritually. The weeks ahead will challenge him in ways most of us can only imagine.

The greatest gift you can give him is your prayers. Pray for strength when he’s exhausted, courage when things get tough, and perseverance to keep pushing forward.

Another powerful way to encourage him is with a handwritten letter. Share a funny memory, remind him how much he is loved, tell him how proud you are, and send words of encouragement that he can read on the hard days.

Sometimes a simple letter can make all the difference.

Legacy- Chapter1.

We received this award… but the truth is, it was never ours alone.

This belongs to every parent who trusted us with their child.
Every athlete who showed up tired, sore, uncertain—but still gave their all.
Every early morning, every late night, every drop of sweat, every moment of growth… this was built together.

Havens Fitness & Boxing was never just a gym.
It was a family.
A safe place.
A place where discipline met love, and where purpose was poured into every single athlete that walked through our doors.

To our parents — thank you for believing in us, for allowing us to pour into your children, and for standing beside us through every season.

To our athletes — you are the reason. Your grit, your heart, your commitment… that’s what this award represents. Not titles. Not recognition. But who you became in the process.

If this is one of the last things we leave behind, let it be this:

But obedience > excuses.

Coach Stevie – 163rd in division
Coach Charles – 114th in division

We didn’t win the race…
But we won the morning.

Because purpose isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up when it would be easier not to.

3 weeks.
Sharper training.
Faster pace.
Stronger mindset.

At Havens, we don’t compete with others —
We compete with yesterday.

Grateful is an understatement.

I’m so thankful for Coach D’s commitment to constant improvement in the gym. Not just in programming. Not just in coaching. But in the small details that most people will never see.

The cleaning.
The repainting.
The maintenance.
The fixing.
The behind-the-scenes work done with excellence.

Because excellence honors God.

What people walk into every day didn’t just “happen.” It was prayed over. Swept. Repainted. Organized. Reworked. Improved.

Colossians 3:23 reminds us:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”

That’s the standard.

When the floors are clean, the walls are fresh, the equipment is maintained — it creates an environment where athletes can focus, grow, and feel valued. It tells them, you matter.

Leadership isn’t just what happens in the spotlight.
It’s what happens when no one is watching.
