Our second-to-last course of the trip was the Chinook Pier Mini-golf in Grand Haven and it was a great little city-owned course. Good, affordable family fun in a beautiful place.

Defending potential is the name of the game with and today we got to see what that was actually like as we met many of the people involved with . Several of the bigs/littles had been together for five+ years, others were just getting started and the joy on everyone’s face as they mini golfed, fed the blue gills and raced around the arcade. Bigs. Littles. Friendship. All of it.

Thank you to Chloey and the rest of the BBBS of the Lakeshore group for organizing it and welcoming us all in!

Another family-owned operation that was a lot of fun! This time we were at Putters Creek in North Muskegon where we met Rita! Awesome course in great shape with water all around it.

Rita just got on the mini golf business and seems to be off to an incredible start. Anyone who has any advice on ways she could run an awesome course is welcome to add them to the comments.

13/10 for C's Extreme Ice Cream & Mini Golf. What a HOOT. We met Cheryl and Chris at this classic course in Montague. It’s been in the family since the 1980s and they’ve been doing a great job maintaining it. We enjoyed some great ice cream there and heard that they are planning to retire soon, and new owners are lining up to keep the course around moving forward.

Oh, and way more importantly - thank you C’s for donating passes for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore!

The final day of our trip has arrived. Hard to believe! Today we’re heading to our final destination in Grand Rapids, but like life itself it’s the journey that really matters.

We’re playing a couple small courses on our way to Muskegon before what will assuredly be an amazing moment at Craig’s Cruisers. Our friends from Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lakeshore have arranged an event that will include a bunch of bigs and littles coming out to golf with us!

This morning we started the day with an interview on WMOM fm Radio and we’re featured on the WOOD TV8 morning show! We’ll finish the day with a ring presentation and celebratory dinner in Experience Grand Rapids!

After five days, the lead for Mike remains!

The scores fluctuated quite a bit during our rounds yesterday with Mike’s leading dipping below 20 briefly and hitting more than 30 at one point. The biggest drift was tough-luck Alex who had a bounce out and was in fight with the holes at a couple of the courses as the day went on. At one point he passed Tony for second place, but quickly fell back behind and is looking like a long shot to pull off the win.

We love meeting new friends along the way, and tonight was a big night of that! Thank you to the wonderful people involved with Jaycee’s in Ludington! They met us at the course with excitement, showed us around town and together we made memories not-soon-to-be forgotten!
