Everybody is out here talking about what you should eat, but will their (insert fad diet) belief system work for them when they turn a blind eye to WATER?

Around 70% of the earth is covered by water and humans are composed of around 70% water- our blood contains roughly the same salinity as ocean water. Water is life’s battery, it keeps us energized and our systems functioning properly. Good water increases our exclusion zone (EZ), or the area where energy transfers take place for cell functioning. The bigger the EZ, the better the energy transfer.

Quality>Quantity? State & Federal authorities have done a good job in providing “clean” water for the US, but that does not mean that we should close our eyes to the problems that exist, especially with increasing chronic issues and disease each year.

Our municipal, tap, most bottled & brita water contains inorganic acids and are polluted with toxins, bromides, fluoride, arsenic, pesticides and pharmaceuticals that increase the calcification of our cells, tissues and joints.

The EPA hasn’t set new tap water standards in over 20-40 years. Alarming, considering the drinking/bathing water in the US contains over 2,100 toxic chemicals (Many known to cause cancer, thyroid problems/weight gain & autoimmune diseases)

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?
🔹At a food store/costco, use 5 gallon jugs and fill with Reverse Osmosis
🔹️Invest in a filtration system: Omica Organics and Berkey have great products so that you won’t have to buy water again
🔹️Visit Find-a-spring.com, search your zip code for your local spring and they will put jugs in your car. Prices are cheaper than store bought
🔹️Use glass when you can to avoid estrogenic compounds & endocrine disrupters from plastic (especially in heat)
🔹️Visit EWG.org/tapwater to see what's in your municipal water (every twp is vastly different) to know what type of filter to get
🔹️Don't stress when on the go. Look for spring water at convenience stores. Good choices are Fiji, Voss, Mountain Valley and Evian
🔹️Too much water causes excessive stress, electrolyte imbalances, bloating and dilution of stomach acids

Lyme is known as “The Great Imitator,” as patients have been incorrectly diagnosed with: MS, fibromyalgia, CFS, autoimmune/thyroid diseases and psychiatric disorders.

The complications of Lyme and its coinfections (Babesia, Bartonella and Bartonella etc) are one of the BIGGEST causes of autoimmunity and mitochondrial dysfunction. It’s very challenging because it mimics other illnesses such as the flu, manifesting as diverse symptoms from headaches/muscle aches to ulcers/joint pain to anxiety/depression. These infections love the nervous system, which makes treating Lyme very difficult.

Certain strains (Northeast US), are more vicious and are associated with higher levels of inflammatory cytokines in synovial fluid. Symptoms can vary from person to person. Lyme is always on my radar when the pieces of the puzzle aren’t connecting.

Usually a tick bite (if any) was just a small factor, and it was really other stealth infections that already existed underneath the hood..heavy metal toxicity, chronic Epstein-Barr Virus, stress, parasites, gut dysbiosis, mold etc.

The world is full of microbes, bacteria, and viruses, but it is the imbalanced bioterrain that played into a severe reaction to the straw that broke the camel's back. Think of the toxicity our body experiences as a bucket that fills up with different stressors, and it isn't until it “overflows” that the immune system becomes triggered and symptoms appear. Personal HISTORY is important.

Find a LYME LITERATE doctor that knows what to look for and use proper testing such as Igenex. (Western Blot is wildly inaccurate)

“WORK-IN” Exercise- exercise is a stressor! It is the process of hormesis that enables you to adapt and become stronger after the dose. But if you are already overburdened with stressors mentioned above, taxing workouts without “working in” is akin to swiping your health credit card, as Spirochetes can hide dormant until a major stressor occurs. More myofascial release!

Nothing good comes from repressing anger- the more you repress, the more you compress. Both repression and rage represent the FEAR of the genuine experience of anger. People often repress what they’re afraid to express. The real challenge with anger: Expressing it while staying connected to our values and the world around us.

We are all part of this great awakening. We as a nation are in the midst of a revolution of consciousness, and no one is exempt. Here are some ways to discern and channel your innermost thoughts:
_
✏Are you angry? Frustrated? If so, at whom? Write it down
_
✏Are you doing everything you can to support , or just going through the motions to show solidarity because of social pressure? If the latter, what is preventing you from offering genuine support from your heart?
_
✏Are you carrying any guilt or shame? Is it productive, or is it limiting you from feeling love and inspiration?
_
These simple exercises are important. The change we need begins in the human heart. There are innumerable forces at work right now, and only in tracking them can we begin to make some sense of it all.

Courage is not the absence of fear, it’s the will to act in spite of it. There are tons of resources available for how you can contribute to and what is going on right now.

Racism is that evil- it is a symptom of a disease of consciousness. But what we can do is address the endemic fear, insecurity, and ignorance that keeps people from seeing this truth. The ignorance that allows those to see another human being as “other”, which is the prerequisite to deeming another as ‘less than’- and acting on their shadow with deadly consequence.

Don’t have access to free weights? All that is needed is a simple Resistance Band (Looped or with Handles) for this “no excuse”, 8 exercise home workout.

Combine all 8 movements together into a circuit without rest in between exercises-- performed for 3-4 sets OR supplement them in your home workout routine as needed!

Resistance bands are the ultimate versatile, affordable, ultra-compact home gym. You can get a quick body workout with something that fits into a drawstring backpack or an airplane carry on. Bands are obviously great for workouts on-the-go in hotel rooms and elsewhere, but they’re so effective that they can and should become a centerpiece in times when you don’t have access to gym or weight set at home.

Why are resistance bands so effective? I believe they offer a unique stimulus unlike hoisting heavy metal or working with a machine. First of all, when you move resistance bands through open space, you recruit the small stabilizer muscles that aren’t necessary when going through the fixed range of motion of a machine. Lifting free weights also recruits stabilizer muscles in a different way, but the training stimulus feels slightly different. Free weights focus on the development of explosive power, like when you apply maximum force into the ground to achieve a deadlift. The function of your big toe plays a massive role in the human gait cycle and it’s impact on your physiology & movement. Practice moving that sucker by itself--Lift only your big toe in the air, try 50x today. Next, try abducting your big toe (take away from other toes laterally). Light up your brain and start moving better by flexing your big toe.

Movement Science➡️The big or great toe has a special place in our brain. It’s role as a sensory and motor organ is so important in human movement (upright bipedalism) that it has a distinct and separate area in the cortex of the brain. No other species has this brain circuitry. The rules of ‘neural plasticity’ --- If you don’t use it, YOU LOSE IT!

👞Now think about all of the restrictive footwear, cleats, heels etc. you've used that:
-didn’t allow all of the toes, muscles and bones in your feet to move well
-didn’t allow them to breathe
-didn’t stimulate the bottoms of your feet
-deprived your brain of a rich source of sensory information, and one of its major points of connection with the world around you.

⚡This is all without mentioning the importance of barefoot grounding to the earth because of the bio-energetic benefits. Life is electrical. Your mitochondria produce the energy you need to function. If you think nutrition and exercise alone lead to good mitochondrial function, add this to your routine.

⛰When we consider all of the time we spent barefoot, with our toes splayed, going over different terrains and textures, it was more time in shoes than the latter.

We are the product of our environments and much of our overall movement health can be remedied by reclaiming our feet. So take those foot condoms off and spend some time with your toes free.
