Funny thing about youth sports… eventually everybody shows you what they’re really here for.
At Storm Surge, we’re not interested in chasing titles, dropping names, manufacturing a reputation or talking about wins that haven’t happened.
We’d rather let the boys do the talking on the field.
And even then, they’re 6, 7 and 8 years old. Perspective matters.
We’re here to teach football, absolutely — but also character. Honesty. Loyalty. Humility. How to win without becoming arrogant and how to lose without making excuses. How to be a good teammate even when something doesn’t personally benefit you.
Because rings are cool. Recognition is fun. Winning feels great.
But none of it means much if character gets lost somewhere along the way.
Sometimes people leaving your circle feels like a loss until you realize they simply made room for something healthier. No hard feelings. No chasing. No competing for attention.
Just clarity.
Storm Surge will keep doing what Storm Surge has always done: developing these boys, building a football family, making memories, competing hard and having one hell of a good time doing it.
We don’t need to convince anyone who we are.
Time has a funny way of doing that for you. 🌊🏈
