Pennsylvania Game Commission will be at Jefferson Sportsmen's Association on September 12, 2026 from 8-4 to conduct a Hunter Safety Course. This course is required for all hunters in PA.
You will learn safety techniques for fi****ms, archery, trapping as well as survival tips and first aid. This event is free but you must pre-register. A maximum of 60 students will be enrolled in this course. Lunch will be provided. Every Student needs to register online at www.pa.gov/agencies/pgc

Member Meeting tonight @ 7:30pm
Join us tonight for our members meeting and bring your shotgun for a block shoot after the regular meeting. Good time to catchup with fellow members and have some fun. This event is for members only.

Annual Renewal of Membership Dues
To pay in person, come to our regular scheduled meetings. The Membership secretary will be available at the clubhouse, check the website event calendar for up to date availability. When paying dues by mail, please write your membership number on the check and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Renewals received without a self-addressed stamped envelope will be kept at the Club to be picked up in person. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN YOUR GATE CARD. The card may get damaged in the mail and the club will not be responsible for damaged cards. Replacement will be member responsibility at $15. A late fee of $35.00 will be charged if dues are not paid before January 21, 2027.

All meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month and start at 7:30 p.m.

Regular Membership: $ 100.00
Senior Members: $ 90.00 (age 65 & 20 years of membership)
50 Year Membership: $ 40.00
Junior Membership: Free (12-18)
Active Military: Free
New Members: $ 150.00

The Club does not send out notices when renewals are due.

We know your time is valuable to you, so we are looking to get a couple hours of your time. We need your help in getting everything ready for the Jefferson Carnival. Reminder: volunteer work will give you a discount on your renewal membership for 2027. Must have your membership card signed by a club officer.

Setup Times:

Big Raffle Stand Wed. July 1 at 6:00 pm- Need at least 12 People June 30, July 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 at 6:00 pm
July 4, 11 starts at 7:30 am

Need help at end of Carnival Saturday to put Games away Schedule may need to be modified due to progress or weather Tear Down:

Jefferson Sportsmen's 2026 Roy Wagner Scholarship Recipient is Mary Grace Zumbrun. She will be attending Juniata College and studying Watershed Management/Conservation. Mary Grace is a graduate of South Western School District and over the years she has volunteered/helped on various programs involving Law enforcement, Fire and EMS, assisting the homeless, Veterans groups and youth programs. Congratulations to Mary Grace and the best of luck in your future.
The Roy Wagner, Jr. Scholarship award is given annually to a York County youth pursuing a degree in forestry, wildlife, marine science or environment. Roy was a very active member of our club and started the first hunters education course. He held various positions with the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen and was the Pennsylvania Game Commissioner for 14 years (1981 – 1995). The Jefferson Sportsmen’s Association along with the Jefferson Rifle Club are the sponsors of this scholarship. The scholarship has been increased to $2000.
