As we are nearing the end of another waterfowl season I want to thank everyone for their business this year. I’m unfortunately at full capacity for the 2025/2026 season. To ensure a reasonable turn around time and still balance work and family life I will be unable to receive any more birds for mounting. I know there are several people that talked to me about birds that haven’t set a drop off date, were waiting till the end of season for drop off, or that have already informed me of trips they are taking in the near future; for those people I will still accept your birds this season and look forward to seeing you. If you wish to freeze birds until we begin receiving again, which at this time we are planning on late summer, I recommend using ziplock freezer bags with the head tucked along the back or under the wing to protect it from damage in the freezer. Also wrapping the bills and feet in wet paper towels helps to further prevent damage from freezer burn. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to assist you. Again thank you for another successful season and your confidence in trusting me with your trophies.

We are now officially accepting birds again, Drop offs and mount pick ups are still by appointment only and we usually schedule evenings or weekends. When dropping off birds we will need your license and contact information as well as harvest date and location for record keeping. Good luck to everyone during the upcoming season.

As we are approaching a new season and before I start taking in work again in the next week I wanted to make a quick post concerning changes we needed to make for this year. First change is that we have decided to suspend doing mammals and will only be taking in birds this season; I apologize for any inconvenience this creates for our customers, it was a difficult decision but as a part time shop we want to prioritize our bird mounts and balance the workload. We will now be requiring deposits for all birds dropped off before we begin the mounting process, I have tried to avoid this as long as possible but after this past year it has become a necessary evil. Also due to limited space to store mounts we will message customers a week prior to their mounts being mounted, if for any reason they are not ready for their mount we can move it further down the list. Once the mount is finished and ready for pickup customers have 60 days to pick it up after 60 days mounts may be disposed of as necessary to make room for other customers mounts. That being said I understand life and schedules can throw curveballs and we will work with customers as long as we are notified of any needed extensions. Updated prices for this year are as follows:

Ducks and upland birds: $200

Eiders, Snow geese, Ross geese, Brant, and white fronted geese: $250

Canada geese: $350

Unfortunately due to space restrictions we are unable to accommodate Swans

Turkeys will be taken in on a case by case basis depending on space availability.

All birds will require a non refundable deposit of $100 at drop off and balance due at pick up.

Display options included in those prices are either ghost hangers or driftwood for flying mounts; driftwood or appropriately sized earth/ rock base for standing mounts, and a basic blind wood panel for deadmounts. Snow, Ice, water, or additional habitat will incur additional cost dependent on size or requested habitat.

We have already included sales tax in the above pricing to simplify the process.

We want to thank all of our past and present customers, good luck this season and we look forward to hearing from you in the future.

I would like to start by thanking everyone that has dropped of animals this season. As a part time shop I have officially reached the limit of what I can take in and still maintain a reasonable turn around time, unfortunately this means I won’t be able to accept any more mounts for the year. That being said I know several people have already contacted me about birds but have not set a drop off time yet; I will still accept those birds since we have already discussed them. I will start accepting animals again in September and I apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Again thank you for all the support and I will continue to contact people as your mounts are completed.
