This team came to play this week in Jackson, NJ for the USSSA Northeast National Championships! We’ve had some highs and lows as a team this season but two of our strongest games were played this week in Jackson, NJ - one we won & one we didn’t. It isn’t always the outcome that matters, but how you play the game……and they played with ❤️

The team played 7 games and finished with a record of 3-4. The final results aren’t out yet, but they finished in the top 24 of 41 teams in the toument.

Some stats to highlight for the tournament:
- the team combined for 49 hits over their 7 games, with EVERY single player getting at least 1 hit.
- Lauren led the way 9 hits
- the team had 7 triples across the 7 games
- Alex, Ang & Adreonna all contributed to that 7 with clutch triples to help the team
- the team had 31 RBIs across the 7 games
- Ashley led the way with 8 RBIs
- 10 of those RBIs were with 2 Outs
- Olivia led the way with 4 2-out RBIs
- the team scored 45 runs across the 7 games
- Taylor led the way with 9 runs scored
- the team had an 82.6% contact % across the 7 games
- Rosie led the way with a 100% contact %……she had no strikeouts the entire tournament
- the team saw a total of 668 pitches
- Ava led the way with 87 pitches seen
- the team had 22 plate appearances where they saw 3 pitches after 2 strikes
- Maddie led the way with 5 of those appearances…..she battled hard!
- the team had an 87% fielding % across the 7 games.
- Avery & Adreonna both had fielding % of 100%, committing 0 errors in the field - great defense!

Lauren Stanton was presented with the Offensive MVP of our USSSA Northeast National Championships 💪🥎

She batted 0.529 during the tournament, with 9 hits across our 7 games. She had 5 singles, 2 doubles and 2 triples. She has been making contact all season, but her hits started landing this tournament!! Congratulations Lauren!

bracket play started today.

The girls went 1-2 in pool play and came to the complex ready to play. They went 2-0 today in the heat, winning both games decisively. Pitchers Ang and Rosie, across 11 innings, combined for only 7 hits against, 5 runs allowed, 18 strikeouts and only 5 walks. Bats were also alive today with the entire team getting on base when needed.Winning against Philadelphia Spirit 9-4 and TE Thunder 9-1 the girls will now move on to play again tomorrow at 8am. They capped their morning off with a TikTok with birthday boy Coach Mark!

Pool play concluded today with the team finishing 5th in their pool of 6 (there were 7 pools of 5-6 teams each in this tournament).

Their next game is Thursday, July 17 at 8AM vs. Philadelphia Spirit.

Last night we had a team dinner and got a picture of some of the team’s amazing parents and this afternoon the girls spent the afternoon at Hurricane Harbor.

Pool Play opened with a bang this morning with a nail biting loss to Kraze (9-10) This game was an all around team effort with A LOT of energy.

Game 1 highlights:
- Lauren & Olivia each hit a triple
- Lauren & Taylor each scored 3 runs
- Lauren, Taylor & Alex each had 2 hits
- Ashley & Olivia each had 2 RBIs

Pool play finished off with a 9-2 win over Vanquish. This game wasn’t as energetic, but the girls pulled together for the win.

Game 2 highlights:
- Adreonna hit a triple
- Avery & Maddie each scored 2 runs
- Ava & Adreonna each had 2 hits
- Ava had 2 RBIs

Ang, Rosie and Ashley combined for a 53% strike ratio across both games, with Rosie pitching 61.4% strikes 💪🥎

Our next game is Wednesday, July 15 @ 8AM against the Empire State Huskies.

This team pulled together in their final 2-day tournament as a team and finished 2nd in the Tigers Classic in Lyons, PA (going 4-2 across the weekend). This weekend saw everything from rain to hooded sweatshirts to blazing heat, but nothing stopped this team from leaving it all on the field.

Highlights:
- The team scored 45 runs across their 6 games - with every single player scoring at least once
- Lauren led the weekend with the most runs scored - scoring 9 of those 45 runs
-Ava led the weekend with an on base % of 57.1%
- Taylor had the only HR of the weekend
- Alex had a contact % of 100% with 0 strike outs this weekend
- Ang and Olivia combined for the only 2 triples
- Ashley led the weekend with a quality at bat % of 81%
- Adreonna led weekend with 7 RBIs
- Maddie saw the most pitches this weekend (68)
- Rosie dominated on the mound with a 68% strike ratio
- Avery dominated on defense this weekend with a fielding % of 100%, committing 0 errors
