Spring City Middle Bulldogs Win In Fashion, Walk It Off Versus Central Middle Lady Chargers

Spring City Middle Bulldogs took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 9-8 walk-off victory over Central Middle Lady Chargers. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the fifth when Karley Smith singled, scoring one run.

Spring City Middle Bulldogs came back to win despite trailing 7-2 in the fourth.

Central Middle Lady Chargers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Spring City Middle Bulldogs committed an error, Spring City Middle Bulldogs committed an error, and Summer W walked, each scoring one run.

Spring City Middle Bulldogs scored one run in the bottom of the second on an inside the park home run by Sienna Fisher.

A double by Autumn C, and an error helped Central Middle Lady Chargers extend their early lead in the third.

Spring City Middle Bulldogs made the score 7-6 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Fisher singled, scoring one run, and Ella Mullins hit an inside the park home run, scoring three runs.

Spring City Middle Bulldogs took the lead, 9-8, in the bottom of the fifth thanks to singles by Kamari Stampe, and Smith.

Mullins earned the win for Spring City Middle Bulldogs. The starter gave up eight hits and eight runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out three and walking three. Paisley S took the loss for Central Middle Lady Chargers. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up six runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking one.

Spring City Middle Bulldogs piled up 11 hits in the game. Fisher, Mullins, Stampe, Smith, and Kilynn Beebe each collected two hits for Spring City Middle Bulldogs. Mullins went 2-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Mullins led Spring City Middle Bulldogs with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Mullins stole two bases. Spring City Middle Bulldogs ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Spring City Middle Bulldogs turned one double play in the game.

Central Middle Lady Chargers tallied eight hits in the game. C provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Central Middle Lady Chargers with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. C and Jeannie B each collected two hits for Central Middle Lady Chargers. Central Middle Lady Chargers turned one double play in the game.
