High Cloud PeasantMan Triathlon

High Cloud PeasantMan Triathlon Overview This is a charity event, NOT a race. This is one of the great charities in the world outside of Indochina. PeasantMan is non-USAT sanctioned race.

The fun, informal High Cloud PeasantMan Triathlon Weekend takes place each year at Lake Anna park, near Fredericksburg, VA. Lake Anna is a great location with friendly park rangers that don't shoot Vietnamese #1 on site, plush cabins for overnight or weekend stays, a lovely lake and great bike and running trails in a b

eautiful setting. Apart from funds siphoned off to the Royal Treasury, namely zero, all fees go to the High Cloud Foundation (www.highcloud.org). By helping the High Clouders build and operate schools and orphanages in India, Africa, South America, Asia, and elsewhere, you'll leave PeasantMan not just with sore muscles but with a warm and fuzzy feeling in your tummy. Event Weekend consists of: 1) the Triathlon on Sunday, and 2) a fun pre-event day on Saturday. Saturday will feature: a practice open-water swim, including free wetsuit rental, put on by the swimming pros at OneWave; a free bike [and a running] clinic put on by elite athletes from the triathlete clubs in the area; a free bike ride on the Kinetic Half Ironman course (56 and 112 miles option); and a romantic evening barbecue of hamburgers and roasted canine meat along the shore of the lake; and many other fun events. Sunday will feature: a Sprint Triathlon and an Olympic Triathlon, with the swim in Lake Anna, and the bike and run on the paved roads of lovely Lake Anna State Park. Afterwards we'll have a post-race festivity featuring lots of tasty food and drinks. All finishers receive free memento gifts and Georgetown cupcakes. Please refer to the photo section of our page for pictures of last year's event. This means that there is no need to pay a 1 day USAT licensing fee or show us your USAT membership card. This race is designed to take on the flavor of an early season glorified training day, to help kick off your season in a non-pressured environment. Think along the line of a company picnic atmosphere as opposed to the USAT Age Group Nationals. You will receive plenty of cheek-and-tongue, politically incorrect, satirical emails to lighten the mood and help kick off your season. Roll with it, have fun, and there will be a thousand born again virgins waiting for you in the gates of heaven. We allow people to mix distances (i.e., sprint swim, oly bike, oly run or any such combo), cheat, and pull a Rosie Ruiz on the run, so don't expect any age group awards. The people finishing in front of you, probably cheated.

We have teamed up with Dianna Bentley of Long & Foster Real Estate to give you all some free entries. Diana is a military veteran, Ironman triathlete, and does PeasantMan every year. She met her boy toy at PeasantMan, so she decided that she would give back to PeasantMan for what we threw away ... her boy toy.

If you are looking to buy or sell a home or know someone who is looking to buy/sell a home and need an agent to show them homes on the market, contact Dianna and let her show you some houses/condos. Dianna is licensed in VA and DC. However, if you are looking to purchase or sell a home in MD, contact Dianna for a MD agent referral.

You are going to pay a commission when you sell your home. Why not make the world a better place in the process by ensuring that some of that commission money is donated to a charity, like PeasantMan? Any other agents out there would just spend their commissions on booze and antibiotics. Dianna is donating some of her commissions to PeasantMan to support a greater good.

Like most of you, Dianna looks like she's drowning while in the open water, but on land, she can sell homes like no one's business. She belongs to NVAR Top Producer's Club 2020 - Gold. Her office in NoVa sold over 1,100 units last year. If my Vietnamese math is correct, that's like 5 units per day. Her office was ranked the #1 top selling Long & Foster office in the area. In other words, they know what they are doing and can get you top prices for your home or moved you into a home of your dream.

As you all know, PeasantMan donates all of our profits to charity. Any help from you guys is greatly appreciated. If you are going to sell a home or purchase one, why not do a 2-fer that won't cost you anything extra? Go through Dianna for your real estate needs. You'll get what you want. PeasantMan gets some donations in the process. It's a win-win for everyone.

Below is Dianna's contact info. Just name drop PeasantMan when you contact her so that we get some good credit. She can show you or sell for you any homes in VA and DC.

It's Back...PeasantMan Tri 2022--

"Hello Peasant Class Citizens,

It's been awhile and I miss you all dearly, but probably not as much as you miss me. It's ok though, it's normal for you to miss me to death. Who could blame you, certainly not I.

Anyway, I'm happy to announce that, after a two year sabbatical in the most freshest of fresh mountains in Saigon, PeasantMan is back for 2022. The event will take place on May 15, 2022. It will follow the same format as before, with the festivities on Saturday, May 14, and race on Sunday May 15th.

As you all know, we are a local grassroots movement. Even though we've been off for 2+ years, we still had expenses, such has storage fees and other on-going fixed expenses. The pandemic has affected us, like all other small local businesses out there. Our funds are completely depleted. We are starting up PeasantMan again with money from our own personal checking account, until new registration fees come in. We know that there are other available race options out there, but hope that you continue to support us and our unique flavor. At the end of the day, we will continue what we've done in the past. That is, ensure that all expenses are covered and donate the rest to charity.

Next year, more than ever, we need your support. Please consider registering for our race. The PeasantMan World Entertainment Corporation is so broke that our broke is broke. When we went to the bank to try to get a loan, the bank said, "no habla Vietnamese!" To which we've replied, in writing, "we're Vietnamese, not French, you son of a bitch!" Please keep our flavor alive by registering.

RE-POST - The PeasantMan Story
==============================

*** Below is a re-post of the PeasantMan Story for those new to the PeasantMan propaganda email list ***

For those new to PeasantMan, be forewarned that you will receive plenty of cheek-and-tongue, politically incorrect, satirical emails from me for the next several months to lighten the mood and help kick off your season. You will receive emails like no other emails that you've ever received from any RDs. It is part of the PeasantMan flavor and experience. It is how I stick it to the MAN during billable hours. Roll with it, have fun, and there will be a thousand born again virgins waiting for you inside the pearly gates of the Bangkok red light district.

PeasantMan is run entirely on volunteers. We have zero paid staff. Yours truly, the co-RD, receives zero compensation. 100% of the profit from PeasantMan is donated to various charities across the DMV. We volunteer our time to give back to our sport and the community that we live in. You can sorta say, we do this for the love of the game.

PeasantMan was originally designed to be a one day/one time fun training day for us and our friends in the DCTri Club. It kind of took on a life of its own over the years. We called it PeasantMan because it was a poor-man's knock off of the Ironman. Back in those days, Ironman was charging folks $500 to race. We decided charged folks $5 that first year as a way to stick it to the MAN.

All we wanted to do that first year was to cover the cost of the post-event BBQ ... and a few lap dances later that evening for the PeasantMan War Council members. After all, the ladies on the PeasantMan War Council need a little Chippendale companionship every now and then.

Anyway, we ended up putting in about $500 of our own money to cover costs because we were too naive about all of the hidden costs of putting on such an event. We were also terribly naive about how much you fat Americans eat at a free BBQ ... and how much lap dances were going for at a Chippendale companionship facility. At those kind of inflated prices, you'd think that there would be free refills and 2-for-1 coupons for the ladies ... and a pitch fork to gorge my eyes out with.

This is what the first PeasantMan looked like 11 years ago when it took place at Sandy Point, in Annapolis, Md. The Sandy Point Park Rangers chased us off their property after the event, so we moved to Lake Anna, Va.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_jpArpAxfY

This is what it has blossomed into over the years.

https://www.facebook.com/PeasantMan/videos/1978447698836498/

As you can see from our history, PeasantMan is about as grassroots as it gets. One of the reasons why we do not pursue the USAT sanctioning route is because we didn't want all the rules and bureaucracies associated with that to ruin the unique flavor that PeasantMan has. That's why I write stupid emails to you ... encouraging ALL of you to cheat at our race. Our motto is, "PeasantMan is like a marriage. If you're not cheating, you're not doing it right." Can I have an amen?

Please get your friends to come along and race with us. All profits are donated to charity. We just do this for the love of the game and to give back to our community.

Thank you for your support. May your children not end up in a Chippendale companionship facility ... with a Vietnamese.

FREE PEASANTMAN ENTRIES
===========================

In addition to sponsoring PeasantMan next year, she will donate free entries to PeasantMan. All you have to do is one of the below items. In addition to the free entries, Dianna will also be donating portions of her commissions to PeasantMan for every successful transaction. But wait, there's more. To sweeten the deal a little bit more, we'll also give you a voucher for $100 for anything you want at DistricCryo.

1. If you are looking to buy a home or know someone who is looking to buy a home and need an agent to show them homes on the market, contact Dianna and let her show you some houses/condos. Once Diana has shown you or the person that you referred at least 1 home, contact me and I'll send you a comp entry code. You don't have to purchase the home to get the free entry. Just let her show you some of the cool homes that are available on the market. What do you have to loose? If you are looking to buy, let her show them to you.

2. Dianna is licensed in VA and DC. However, if you are looking to purchase or sell a home in MD, contact Dianna for a MD agent referral. Once you or your referral has seen at least 1 home in MD, I'll give you a free entry.

3. The same goes for selling a home. If you or someone you referred to Diana is looking to sell a home in the DMV, we'll give you or the person selling the home, a free entry.

4. We will also give free hugs from the Freshest Prince to you entire family, assuming that your entire family has had all 5 shots of the covid vaccine.
