Good evening.
After talking it over I’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this weekend’s game. We had people who planned to come from as far away as Tri-Cities and southeast Washington but the reality is no one signed up to participate as wasteland wanderers and the number of people who signed up as NPCs wasn’t nearly enough.
I can’t in good conscience have people drive for hours up to the field and put on a sub-par game. I never started The Field as a blatant cash grab. I started it to give people a safe, fun place to play ai***ft. Unfortunately, not enough people wanted to play this weekend. It happens.
A few of you have asked about how I’m doing outside of ai***ft. If we’re friends, feel free to ask or just look at my recent post. You’ll know it when you see it. If you know me just as the field owner, everything is puppies and rainbows and I’ll endeavor to give each of you an e-ticket ride (It was a Disneyland thing back in the day, Google it) when you come out to play.
We’ll plan on having our next game next month on November 7th. It will be our Veterans Day game, where all veterans and active duty/Reserve/Guard personnel play for free.
I apologize to the handful of people who did want to come out this weekend.
