🍁🍂🥾 Until Next Year 🥾🍂🍁
This time of year I often find myself looking back and reflecting on the year. This year flew by so fast. So many changes, big life changes….small changes. Too much to put here that’s for sure. Yoga in the Wild is already over and as I look back on that part, tears come to me. So much love in my heart….lifelong connections were made in the group this year. A couple of my regulars even went through teacher training. This practice, this community, never ceases to amaze me. Over time we are getting stronger, more grounded, more connected with each other and with nature and all the incredible beauty that surrounds us. Join us next year 🥲😍

🥾🧘‍♀️🏔️ Yoga in the Wilderness 🏔️🧘‍♀️🥾

Not too long ago in my regular class I talked about “don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.” So here I am practicing what I preach. This trip was not perfect, but there was so much good. This group of ladies absolutely rocked a weekend backpacking trip to Harrison Lake. So many wonderful conversations, one day hike that pushed our limits and patience, a little rain, and of course a little yoga. I will always be grateful for the opportunity to share wild spaces with others - precious moments of peace in this chaotic world.

👋🏻 Oh hi! It’s blowing my mind that I haven’t made a post since the holidays. It’s spring! It’s almost time for Yoga in the Wild to start! This photo of me and Misty is at the top of the Rocks of Sharon hike and probably my favorite view of all the sites for YITW. I hope you make time to join us this year….time to slow down, breathe in the present, lose track of time. It’s been lovely 🥰

🎄Finding Peace in the Season 🎄

Christmas this year feels different. I feel….so many things…but mostly peace, love, and faith. I don’t have my kids for Christmas this year but we still celebrated. I didn’t go into a hole and just get by faking joy for our early Christmas. I felt JOY and it didn’t hurt me (those of you grieving through the holidays will feel that one in your bones.) I belly laughed with my son and it didn’t bring me sadness…I just laughed. I sang Silent Night for class and I felt such overwhelming gratitude and sweet nostalgia for when my mom and I would sing that song in church. I didn’t feel the old complicated saga of growing up with and eventually letting go of religion. I didn’t feel the bottomless well of my grief. I felt what I believe of this season…peace, love, faith, gratitude. Having experienced the depths of grief and depression, I know that things won’t always feel this good. But I KNOW that better days will always come if I have faith. And this dance of being human, it’s what connects us, softens us, and teaches us how to experience real joy and gratitude.

So, as I always say at the end of class…thank you for making space, for showing up for yourself and your community. The light in me sees and honors the light in you….our journey never ends. Namaste and Merry Christmas my friends. ❤️❤️

🍁Last YITW of the Season🍁

Chilly beautiful morning up on Horse Mountain (next to Quartz). Out there I feel like I can exhale, I feel so happy, so blessed to share in these moments together. Already scheming for Spring!! 🤩❤️🥲

🍂🍁 Fall 🍁🍂

Yoga in the Wild last weekend, a chill in the air, perfect hiking weather, and beautiful friends. I don’t have many words to share today except, I’m so grateful - that my body is still healing and that no matter how many bad days I’ve had, I keep going, I keep exploring, my friends keep showing up for me at the perfect moments, that despite the darkness, the light always exists as long as I keep opening my eyes and my heart.
