This past weekend we also sent one of our instructors to Wayzata, Minnesota. There he attended a US Sailing Level 1 Instructor Certification course hosted by the Wayzata Sailing School and taught by coach Matthew Thompson. Way to go!!

This past weekend we sent two of our instructors to Holland, Michigan. There they attended a US Sailing Level 2 Instructor Certification course hosted by the Macatawa Bay Yacht Club and taught by coach Cappy Capper. We're excited for another summer of sailing fun and instruction!!

It’s hard to believe that yesterday was the last day of sailing school for the summer. The summer of 2024 was a most unusual one that required a great deal of patience and flexibility by our staff. Thank you to all the Okoboji Sailing Center instructors and a big thank you to Steve Powers for endlessly moving motor boats and sailboats around the property to make it all possible. See you back for classes in 2025!

This morning at the Okoboji Sailing Center we had so much weather crammed in to a 2.5 hour time frame - everything …. Thunder, lightening, 25mph gusts, sprinkles, downpours, more lightening and nearly 360 degree wind shifts. Hopefully it’s all out of Mother Nature’s system for the day. Bo was ready for anything in his blue helmet!!
