Schoolhouse Nine

Schoolhouse Nine Rappahannock County's first and only golf course. The design and business model are founded on sustainable values, standards and practices.

The Schoolhouse Nine Golf Course is a unique public nine hole Par 3 design based on interesting, artistic golf architecture and a responsible, resource efficient business model. The goals of the project are to provide fun sport for golfers of all skill levels, develop an ecologically rich landscape and to provide important social and economic benefits to the community. The golf course will consist

of nine Par 3 holes and a practice putting green. All non-play areas will be maintained as wildlife habitat focusing on quail habitat. Irrigated turfgrass areas will be limited to the ten putting greens. Tees, fairways and roughs will be managed without supplemental irrigation. The green areas total 1.4 acres. The tee, fairway and rough areas total approximately 12 acres. Approximately 12 acres of the proposed development are dedicated to wildlife habitat. The habitat areas are located on the north side of the property buffering the golf course from Lee Highway and the south side of the property creating a high quality wildlife habitat area adjacent to the Thornton River.

Sat, Oct 3 — Annual Lovin' Cup, hosted by the Jeck family

Reminder: Schoolhouse Nine will be closed for regular play on Sunday, August 30th until 1:00 PM for our Annual Sperryville Open. We'll reopen to the public at 1:00.

Join us on June 28th for our Member +1 Golf Tournament and bring a friend out for a great day on the course.
The tournament will tee off at 10:00 AM. Food and beverages will be provided, with food from New Iberia Kitchen.
Please note that the golf course will be closed for this event and open exclusively for tournament participants.
Entry is $30 for members and $60 for non-members.
Bring a partner and join us for a great day of golf, good food, and friendly competition.

Important Update

Due to increased maintenance and operating costs, we will be updating our rates:
Daily Rates (Effective July 1)

Monday–Thursday: $20
Friday–Sunday: $30
Juniors: $10

Memberships (Effective September 1)

New memberships: $69/month

We will make every effort to keep current memberships at the $49/month rate.
Join before September 1 to lock in the $49/month rate.

Just a reminder that we have our annual Member Plus 1 On October 19th. We will tee off at 10:00 AM. Food will be provided by New Iberia Kitchen. In Memoriam: A Gathering to Honor Ted

Friends of Ted invite you to join us for a special gathering to remember his life, this Monday, August 25th, from 4-7 PM at New Iberia Kitchen and Firth River Coffee, located at the Sperryville Marketplace.

While a larger celebration of life is planned for TeddyFest 3 in the spring of 2026, this will be a time for the community of friends and loved ones to come together and share memories. Bites and refreshments will be provided.

If you’d like, please feel free to bring a small item or trinket that reminds you of Ted. These will be collected and buried in his honor as part of a special tribute.

We hope you can join us to honor Ted’s memory.
