Owen Valley Youth Football would like to thank Indiana State Police Alliance and their Cops for Kids Grants.

Since 2021 we have secured annual grants that have allowed us to purchase equipment that include 3 tackling rings, a tackling sled, a tackling jax, a field line painter, and nearly 25 new helmets and 50 new shoulder pads!

Our program averages around 75-90 kids in the Spencer-Owen area from 1st grade to 6th grade. These grants have allowed us to keep parents costs competitive and use other fundraising avenues to purchase other equipment.

Again, thank you ISPA and our local troopers for their support!

Flood waters have taken over our practice field overnight so we will have Thursdays practice at our alternate location. Coaches will send specific instructions Thursday!

A big thank you goes out to William Showecker and Joe Frye with Frye Towing & Recovery for moving our shed and our equipment to higher ground on their lot yesterday before the water took over. Make sure you thank them!

Hopefully we are looking at the crest of the flood today and the water recedes before causing anymore damage to Owen Valley Sports Complex.

Week 1 is complete!

Congratulations to Majors 1 on their victory and the Minors and Rookies on their hard fought loses.

A thank you goes out to our volunteers and Eastern Thunder Community Football League for coming over and scrimmaging our Majors 2 team during their Bye week. While the weather wasn’t great for that game, we were able to get some meaningful reps in.

We’re onto to Week 2, back to work on Monday!
