It is with such sadness that we have been advised one of the greatest icons of the world has passed, Sensei Fumio Demura. I had the honor of meeting him at the Japanese Deer Park in the 1970s. Sensei is without a doubt, one of the greatest icons and pioneers of the martial arts. He was a man of great honor and one of the greatest ambassadors for Karate in America and throughout the world. We extend our prayers and thoughts to his family, friends and students. Goodbye my dear friend.
