With heavy regrets, due to a lack of numbers, we are canceling Iron Creek Triathlon and Trail Run for 2023. We will be back in 2024 with bigger, better, new routes and more.

Due to a scheduling conflict, we have moved our race up a week. The Triathlon will be on Aug 19, 2023. Triathlon will start at 9:00 am and the Trail run at 10:00am. More information to follow.

With a heavy heart and a lot of calculations, We have pulled the plug on our association with XTERRA. Their new increase cost and new requirements, by XTERRA, made it unaffordable for us. We are taking this summer to regroup and will have the race startup bigger and better in 2020 (without the XTERRA name on it). Thank you for your support and please keep in touch for updates on the new race (same time frame end of Aug).

Some of you should have your T-shirts by now (mail) and Spearfish participants. I will run around the Rapid City racers this week. I have a few extras so if you need to exchange let me know. Thank you for participating in the last XTERRA Iron Creek Triathlon. XTERRA has up their game (Bigger Money and requirements) that I can no longer afford to put on this race (under XTERRA Brand) anymore. I will be looking hard at the race and rewards to be run without the XTERRA Branding. Stand by for updates. I guess I will have to change this page as well. Oh well Maybe!!

Another GREAT year at XTERRA Iron Creek!! People came from as far as AK, WA, GA, CT, CO, UT, and Canada to participate. Just about everyone enjoyed and loved the new course. The new route caused some really fast times.

Sprint Male: Rob Loftus 1:11.01
