Dear Lindsey;
I want to thank you. For being an absolute light in every life you touched. Your soul radiant, your spirit pure. Always kind, never judging. Thank you for inspiring me. I always looked up to the many dreams you continued to accomplish in life. Truly living to your fullest heart desires. Your accomplishments always had me in awe and pushed me to do more, be more. Without your passion, I may have never become a yoga instructor. Something I love so dearly to this day.
I remember absolutely loving my first class with you, Candlelit Vinyasa at The Hot Room. Your ability to create such intricate movement with breath was beautiful and struck me a different way. I remember the weekend you hosted your first retreat, A Journey Within, in Spearfish Canyon. It was the first retreat I’d ever been to and it was the most magical journey. I had just started really delving into yoga and finding my own passion for it. At dinner the first evening, we began talking about where we were from or had been. I mentioned being from Newcastle and somehow we put together that we were technically cousins. Small world, but I also wasn’t surprised as this seems to happen to me often. Either way, it was such a funny connection!
During the retreat, I remember vividly you saying that if any one of us in the room had ever thought about becoming a yoga instructor, to just go for it! Telling us how much it added to your life. I had considered it beforehand, but as soon as you said that, I had made up my mind. That was the moment I decided I wanted to teach. To be as inspiring and present for others as you. You truly were one of my biggest inspirations and remain to be. Without your radiant glow, I may have never ended up where I am today.
I attended many events you did while in the Hills. I enjoyed every single one. Your sound healing was truly that, healing for the soul. Your voice powerful and talent effortless.
I was sad when you left the hills, but also excited to know you were doing exactly what your heart wanted and needed. I continued to watch you grow Om in the Hills. Everyday continuing with growth and passion. Doing exactly what you loved. And I adored watching it. Taking more and more from you each time. Still teaching from afar.
You brought nothing but positive energy into a room. Your smile infectious. Your light always shining, radiant as ever each time. One of the kindest souls I’ve met in life. For that I thank you. I thank you for all you taught me, near and far. I knew you not long, but you sure made an impact on me. Thank you, Lindsey. For everything you did for myself and each person around you. I will always hold my experiences with you close.
Thank you Lindsey.
