Ethos Combatives Seven Awesome Arts, One Amazing Community We encourage you to visit http://ethoscombatives.com/welcome to view a summary of who we are and what we do!

We believe that you are limited only by your understanding, imagination, and tenacity. Our goal is to help you rise above your expectations, regardless of where you’ve placed them. To that end, Ethos Combatives encompass much more than situational self-defense, mixed martial arts, or the development of targeted attributes like confidence or discipline. Combat is complex and the tools and tactics y

ou develop depend heavily on the nature of the combat you’re preparing for. Our students include police, security, and military personnel; individuals who need to become highly proficient in the execution of both lethal and nonlethal solutions to a spectrum of attacks quickly. We deal with serious concepts like knife defense, where survival and making it home take precedence over earning belts, ranks, or trophies. We teach our arts using the philosophy of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do, “Use only that which works, and take it from any place you can find it.”

They're beginning treatments immediately, which will include surgery to remove the tumor and reconstruct his leg, as well as chemotherapy. Their doctor is hopeful, but they have a lot of difficulties in front of them.

We have two ways that you can help! The first is a GoFundMe campaign, and the second is a MealTrain campaign. You will find the links below!

Thank you so much for your kindness!

Michael Cato is an energetic 11-year-old with a huge heart and an unstoppable spirit. Whether he’s practicing martial arts at Ethos, wrestling with his team, adventuring in Boy Scouts, or building the latest Lego creation, Michael is always full of life and curiosity. In November 2025, Michael and...
