And once again we have been slacking on the post and updates 🫣. Life takes over sometimes. My buddy Matt invited me out to target some Reds and they must have gotten the invite also, because they showed up! Great 2 days of fishing on the Elizabeth River. If you are in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, give the western branch section a try. Top water, white and green slick shiners (Grab'em) and when fishing the bottom, shrimp was the top choice. Focus on grass flats and points of land. Go Grab'em folks!

Jacob is doing work with our soft plastics, with the 2-inch grub proving effective for him today. Our twist tail grubs are available in an assortment of colors that will surely bring the bite.

When they send you a photo asking if you can touch up the paint job because the Speckled trout have been hammering it.
Gives ya that warm and fuzzy feeling!

Jacob is out there putting in work lol
This is a Speckled Trout twitch Lure we put together specifically for him.
When it comes down to quality and catch he brings a honest opinion to me and we make adjustments when necessary.
The slick shiner and this Speckled trout lure seem to work for him this season.
Once again we can always count on Jake to share great catches.

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing on the Elizabeth River with a couple of buddies.The Grab'em slick shiners proved to be effective for catching the speckled trout. We did not land any keepers all were about 11" to 13". I don't think the big boys have showed up just yet.
The toothy ribbon fish did however decide to jump in on the action...straight demon fish lol
All in all it was a good little trip after 14 days on a tug.

I wish I had taken more pictures. This holographic skirt and jig head are from whiskers fishing lures. I paired them with my 3-inch holographic slick shiner.
The morning bite was fantastic. I got in the zone and forgot all about pictures. This one was my last cast. No lunkers or anything amazing this am but man it was a good time.
