Last week was a big one for our Growing Gorillas! Beau, Kynsley, Rowan, Oliver, Everly & Ryleigh all earned new stripes in class! 👏🏼💪🏻

Those little stripes represent more than just time on the mat. They show up in the way these kids are learning to listen, work hard, help their training partners, push through challenges, and keep showing up ready to learn.

Watching these kids grow, not just as young grapplers, but as people, is one of the best parts of what we get to do every week. 💙🦍

Another Growing Gorilla has leveled up! Congratulations to Heston on earning his Gray & White Belt!🩶🤍

One of the best parts of SBG Sparks is the families that make this place so special. We get to watch kids learn, grow, work hard, and build confidence, and even better, we get to see them share the mats with the people who mean the most to them.

For his celebration roll, Heston got to step on the mats with his dad, Vince, and celebrate this accomplishment together. ❤️

Heston, keep listening, keep learning, keep working, and keep being a great training partner. That belt represents the work you’ve put in and there’s so much more ahead!

Monday nights are BUSY at SBG Sparks! 🦍💪🏻

13 teens hit the mats tonight and then 26 warriors packed the room for CAP Class. That’s 39 people choosing to show up, put in the work, and get better.

The mats were full. The energy was high. And this is exactly what a Monday night should look like. 👏🏼

If you’ve been thinking about trying Jiu Jitsu, come see what Monday nights are all about. Whether you’re a teen ready for a challenge or an adult looking to level up, there’s a place for you here.

An extended family member of the SBG community, Cody is an outstanding human being. Help however you can even if it’s just sharing this page.

Cody Bessette is an SBG Montana black belt and a beloved part of the Montana jiu-jitsu community. He is known for his kind words, generous hugs, incredibly smooth and mostly downright gnarly jiu-jitsu, and the genuine care he shows every athlete who walks through his doors. Anyone who has seen Cody in action on and off the mats knows what an incredible human he is. Cody recently suffered a stroke and is not yet able to return to coaching or running his business. His team and staff have stepped up to keep the gym going, but his recovery will take time, and the road ahead remains uncertain. Cody is a devoted husband to Mya and a devoted father to Nevi and Lex. As Cody focuses on healing, his family is facing the financial strain of lost income and significant medical expenses without the support of health insurance.

This fundraiser was created to surround Cody and his family with the same care and generosity Cody has shown so many others. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden of Cody’s medical bills and give him the time and space he needs to recover.
