Larger First Base Option Allowed in High School Baseball

From 2027, high schools can choose an 18-inch or double first base, enhancing player safety as per NFHS updates.

Congrats once again to Pace, and his partners Lou (L) and Ralph (C) as they umpired in the Section One varsity baseball finals.

Our very own Eric and Val, along with Mike from Westchester getting set to umpire the varsity softball Class A Section Final this past weekend.

Working a section final is one of the top honors a high school umpire can receive in Section One. The men seen here have certainly earned this incredible achievement through their hard work and dedication to their craft. We thank them for that, and wish them the best as they continue to umpire these exciting, high level games.

Baseball Classes start on January 6th. Softball classes will begin in February.

On Thursday evening, the RCUA put a wrap on the 2025 season. A wonderful time was had by all!

In addition to a delicious dinner provided by STAC, we gave out a number of awards to very deserving recipients. Congratulations to the following men and women:
