Question from my last class. In regards to camping, a tent is considered to be like your home as far as laws concerning use of lethal force. Meaning if someone forces their way in with the intent to harm you can use lethal force. I am paraphrasing here this is not technical legal verbiage. The question was, what if you don’t have a tent, and you use just a sleeping bag or a hammock? In those instances it becomes a personal defense case, not defense of habitat. Your campground area is NOT considered your habitat. I hope that answers it. If anyone has additional questions please let me know.

I was asked in my last class about good lawyers in Utah. I highly recommend having a lawyer standing by and if possible on retainer should the need arise. If as a concealed carry holder you are in an incident that requires legal assistance you do not want to have that moment be the first conversation with a lawyer.
