ItS been a long hunt with a lot of miles and missed opportunities I decided to punch my time clock this morning kids and the wife are at school and work so pop and I hit the road the road this morning in a new area 20 minutes after light this 3x4 guy gave me the opportunity at 75yards it was a no brainer with 3 days left definitely not my biggest buck and not the smallest either 3 tags down 7 more to go

2023 deer was successful went out with my dad opening weekend that was rough then went with my lovely wife for 5 days she got her meat buck like she wanted on the 3rd to last day oh boy the excitement she throughout a heck of a shot and on the last day I took dad out to try again and we prevailed once again on that unit not a bad last day buck congrats to you both on a successful season

In our travels this morning in search of big Henry my wife and I came around the bend to see a father and his 3 children the kids wave then dad waves of course we wave back then my wife said to me he's waving us over maybe he needs help well sure enough we pull up and the father aka Darren asked if we could lend a hand by putting this buck in the truck I asked who got him he points to his daughter I asked where did you get him her reply in the neck haha oh boy what a site congrats little huntress on your first buck I should of done a better job at catching last names but I'll tell you what that little girl is now hooked and has a memory for a lifetime

Went on a little 30min hike yesterday in a new area I heard tale of elk being in this area but never seen any sign before then my wife picked the spot then bam sign everywhere wish we had more time to explore this area before it rained on us I know there's gotta be some bone in there we didn't even see a boot print....
