Today is going to be a good day! This week the government shut down will officially be the longest government shutdown in the United States history. I will miss another paycheck. At all stuff to worry about another day. #2025

Homemade pizzaby . It is 100% homemade... the first time make homemade dough was about 75%. I think I used too much yeast. The sauce was amazing and sooo easy (check out Whitney’s IG TV for recipe). For the toppings, I didn’t put enough cheese on so had to add a bit more; I also used too much olive oil on top. I need a better way to ‘drizzle’ the olive oil. But all the things that went ‘wrong’ this was still amazing and so much better than offering pizza from a chain.

I haven’t ran in two weeks.... and I honestly feel 110% better. I have been lifting, talking long walks, eating relatively healthy (while enjoying the end of summer), and sleeping enough. I can feel my body responding. I’ll run again soon, but I really needed a break from high intensity and pounding on my joints. Thanks to and for giving me some perspective and another option.

Back to meal prep... kinda! Made super easy garlic butter salmon tonight, but underestimated how much asparagus I would need for two full meals. So I’ll need to fill in with another veggie tomorrow, but that’s okay. Because I started a new eating plan, I am weighing most everything, and this is a NEW experience for me. As I get used to it, I’ll learn what the fight portion sizes are. This is the benefit to cooking more at home and actually weighing everything, not just guessing and diving into meals.
Left over sweet potatoes and brown rice for the rest of the week. DM me for salmon and asparagus recipe.

... 5 miles this morning! Longest run in a long time. Felt good but the last half mile was a real struggle. Took 3 walk breaks, but kept them short and got right back at it.
