A prayer, a dream, and two weeks to build a roster.

We sat down with Kimmalla “Coach Kim” Mitchell from Standing on Business Youth Football for our latest Club Spotlight. She founded the first girls flag football organization in South Houston in 2023, pulling together dancers, cheerleaders, and track athletes for what was supposed to be one tournament.

They ran deep at regionals and kept rolling - second place at Youth Worlds, a Texans regional title, and four divisions launching this season.

But the program runs deeper than wins: mental performance coaching, SAT/ACT prep, and funded internships for her athletes.

“We have some dogs out there that can really, truly play.”

What a day at Vanita Krouch’s P4SS it 4WARD tournament!

Vanita hosted this event in her usual spirit of giving back to the game … and it was felt through the competition, the community, and the incredible athletes who showed up and got after it!

In that same spirit, we stopped by DICK'S Sporting Goods on the way and picked up 8 pairs of Battle Sports football gloves to give away to some lucky athletes

Congratulations to our winners!

Events like this are what youth sports should be about: opportunity, community, competition, and giving back.

Grateful to be a small part of it.

You never know who’s watching.

It’s an important reminder for all of us - but especially for the athletes on the field building this incredible game.

Whether it’s a college scout or a 3-year-old on the sidelines… you are making an impression.

Yesterday at Vanita Krouch P4SS it 4WARD tournament, I got one of those reminders you don’t forget.

Everyone I have the opportunity to watch these young women compete, lead, celebrate each other, and fearlessly pursue their dreams I’m always inspired.

Girls flag football isn’t just growing - it’s being defined in real time by those bold enough to step on the field and build it.

The next generation is watching.

And from what I saw yesterday, they’ve got some incredible role models.

Proud to be around this game. Even more excited for where it’s going. 🏈

From the NFL to a youth flag league in Columbia, South Carolina.

We sat down with Farrington Huguenin for our latest Club Spotlight. He played for the Dolphins, Steelers, and Bucs - and when a former teammate called him about starting a flag football league back home, he jumped in head first. First season was 40 kids. Now he’s pushing 160.

Free clinics with first-rounders showing up. Soccer players crossing over with footwork that translates immediately.

A Tiny Touchdowns division for three-year-olds. And a league built on one thing - confidence first.

“These kids got to believe in themselves first and foremost.”

I love this game.

Last week I had the chance to attend the Next Up conference in Dallas with some of the top operators and innovators in all of youth sports.

And this is exactly why I do it.

Being in rooms with people who care deeply about giving more kids access, building better experiences for families, and pushing this industry forward gives me energy every single time.

Youth sports changes lives.
The relationships, the lessons, the confidence, the community - that’s what it’s all about.

Grateful for the conversations, the people, and the reminder that we’re still early in building what the future of youth sports can look like.

… and a special shoutout to the , , , and teams for spending a little extra time hanging out and brainstorming with me.

“We’re not reinventing the wheel. We’re just doing the work nobody wants to do.”

Tevin Foster, founder of .t.e_select_flagfootball, breaks down what separates their program - structured practice plans, prepped agendas, and actually tracking where their kids need to get better.

No shortcuts. Just work.

🏈 Club Spotlight: Only the Elite Youth Academy

A few dads from Leander, TX who wanted more for their kids than what rec leagues offered. So they built it themselves.

No budget. No ex-NFL connections. Just structured practices, intentional development, and a roster full of dogs.

OTE started in 2024. Two years later they’re competing at Junior Olympics, playing inside AT&T Stadium, and pulling kids from as far as Dallas and Hawaii.

“You don’t have to come from money and resources and ex-NFL players to thrive. Our core disciplines are just hard work, brotherhood, and doing things the right way.”
