Coming in hot out of Charlotte, NC, the Impact Vipers are Led by Ronald Smith & The Impact Foundation! The Vipers give young women opportunities to compete at a high level while preparing them for what comes next. From travel tournaments and college showcases to leadership development and mentorship, the program is focused on the WHOLE athlete.

High school athletes are also given the opportunity to mentor the program’s younger players, helping build confidence, leadership and a stronger flag football community from the ground up.

For Ronald, the goal is simple: help every athlete become the best flag football player she can be, all while being the best leader and mentor she can be!

Huge news for youth flag football!

iFlag (formerly USA Flag) and 5v5 Sports are joining forces to launch iFlag Youth — a new competition platform built exclusively for youth flag football.

The goal: connect premier youth tournaments to elite championship stages, with a clear competitive pathway for teams at every level — from emerging programs to elite clubs chasing college, pro, and national-team opportunities.

🏈 It’s about more than developing football players.

For Arizona Christian University’s Michael Maccagnano, coaching is about developing the whole student athlete.

He isn’t necessarily searching for the most athletic player in the room. His program is looking for high character athletes who are coachable, understand the game and are willing to grow.

His bigger goal is making sure his athletes are developing off the field, too; setting high academic expectations and preparing them for the careers and opportunities waiting after college.

🏈 College Spotlight: Arizona Christian University

We sat down with head coach, Michael Maccagnano of the Arizona Christian University Flag Football program to talk about what they’re building ahead of their first season, what they look for in recruits and what athletes should know about playing at ACU.

For ACU, recruiting goes far beyond finding the best athlete on the field. They’re looking for high character, coachable student athletes who understand the game, are willing to learn and want to develop on and off the field.

And the expectations extend to the classroom. While the NAIA minimum GPA requirement is 2.5, ACU’s program sets its standard at a 3.0 GPA for incoming athletes, with expectations increasing as players progress through college.

As Coach put it, the goal isn’t just to win games.
It’s to help athletes “win careers” when their playing days are over!

🏈 Club Spotlight: Conquer Chargers

What started with just four teams has grown into one of the West Coast’s largest competitive girls’ flag football programs.

Based in Orange County with locations in Irvine, Huntington Beach and Los Angeles, now has nearly 40 teams across its program, creating a competitive pathway for athletes from 8U through high school.

We caught up with Bryan Fournier, Director of Conquer’s Irvine location, to learn more about what’s behind that growth.

For Conquer, it starts with developing athletes. Many of their players come from basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and other sports, bringing those skills into flag and learning how to compete at the next level.

And as opportunities continue to grow in high school, college and beyond, Conquer is growing right alongside the game, expanding locations, developing athletes in both 5v5 and 7v7 and helping build the future of girls’ flag football. 🔥

CFP and iFlag are launching the first-ever CFP Flag Football Showcase — Jan 22–24, 2027 at CFP Fan Central in Las Vegas, right before the national championship at Allegiant Stadium.

What you need to know:
🏈 Youth + adult divisions, boys and girls
🏈 3 games guaranteed — pool play into single-elimination bracket
🏈 Registration opens Sept 17 at 4pm on iFlag’s site
