When students become comrades & friends and choose to celebrate with each other after camp.

Not once did we speak of having a party or anything of the sort, but I had something planned.

Today, a few of them brought in treats. Homemade cookies, homemade French cookies, ice cream, Oreo’s, and fruit snacks. Granted, cookies and ice cream are not what I would’ve recommended to close out a high octane camp but the fact they wanted to celebrate together is what Team SL is about.

Seven dedicated and hard working students who chose to push through 2 months of hard work in 4 days. Excited to see them test tonight!

NO CLASSES. TESTING @ 5! See you then!

Man, oh MAN has it been a busy two weeks to start the summer and we’ve just begun!! Between the launch of our buddy event, The Ticket Tornado 🎟️ 🌪️ , which stirred up some buzz with our friends on the mat, our new merch line dropped, Summer camp with Mrs. Reed which left the kids begging for camp all summer, The district championships, where Team SL pulled 5 new titles, and color belt & black belt camp and testing next two weeks, needless to say, WE’VE GOT IT GOING ON!!

Don’t forget to get your new summer merch before it’s too late, make your plans to join us in August for the start of competition season, & be sure you’re training hard for your rank next week!

Team Southlake had an incredible turnout at the South District Championships this past weekend!! We had many medals, tons of sweat and laughs shared on the journey here and they day of, and we have TWO NEW DISTRICT TITLES IN THE HOUSE!!

Please congratulate these phenomenal athletes on all that they accomplished this season & HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Wilkins & Mr. Miller for their BIG WINS in their creative and xtreme events!

We have our regional district championship, where the best of the best in Texas and our three neighboring states will compete for the 2nd most prestigious title & the right to wear blue letters on their backs! This will be our team’s last step before the World Championship in July!

Today, we honor the men and women who gave everything so the rest of us could train, raise our children, and live free.

The discipline we build on the mat is a small reflection of theirs.

Please take a minute and help celebrate our NEWLY crowned State Champions as well as all Team SL that qualified for the District championship!!

For those who don’t know, to earn a state title, you must be ranked #1 in your competitive state at the end of season. Texas being one of the most competitive states makes this QUITE the incredible feat! Can’t wait to see you rock those titles on your uniform!

The district title is even more impressive and sought after as it’s the title you compete for to earn Blue Letters! You must compete against the top 10 competitors in the region. Anyone who achieves this will be invited to the World Championships at a chance to earn the most prestigious rank of World Champion!!

We wish you the best of luck and skill moving towards your next big milestone this year!!

🥋 Huge congratulations to all of our Gladiator Camp attendees on an incredible weekend filled with hard training 💪, fun 🎉, teamwork 🤝, weapons ⚔️, forms 🥷, self-defense 🛡️, and so much more! The energy, effort, and camaraderie throughout camp made this an unforgettable experience for everyone involved ❤️🔥

🏆 A special shoutout goes to Mr. Reed for earning the “Ohana Award” 🌺 for his outstanding effort in making every camper feel included, welcomed, and comfortable throughout the weekend. Well deserved 👏👏

🏆 Another special shoutout to Mr. Wilkins for earning the “Energizer Bunny” 🔋🐇 for keeping the energy high both in his squad and during his training sessions. Well deserved! 👏🏼👏🏼

🏐 From pool volleyball and ultimate frisbee 🥏 to countless team-building activities 🤜🤛, the weekend was packed with memories, laughter 😂, and growth 🌟. With 6 Master Instructors 👊, 15 high ranks 🥋, and over 100 campers 😮 in attendance, this year’s camp was truly something special!
