Dance City & The Arts Dance City offers excellent programming from ages 3 through adult. Everyone is important and all classes are progressive.

Dance City and the Arts builds self esteem, self-confidence, strength, balance and coordination through dance - all while having fun! Our teachers are highly qualified, experienced, certified teachers whose teaching concepts spark and instill creativity. Our friendly and professional office staff is always available during class hours. Positive reinforcement along with our Character Counts Program

further encourages a positive classroom atmosphere. All students receive an achievement award at the recital finale. Our spacious studio location is directly above the Southington Walking Trail so you can exercise while your child is in class

We offer new, fun, updated classes for everyone in your family. Our time-saving schedule allows 2 or 3 family members to take separate classes at the same time. We offer family and multiple class discounts as well as friend referral discounts. Our spacious air conditioned facility offers 3 studios making our facility large enough to hold all classes in one convenient location. Our 3 professional studios with cathedral ceilings and viewing windows promote the New York City ambience. Our largest studio is the size of a stage to better prepare our students for a positive recital experience. Our waiting room is a spacious and inviting area for siblings, homework or video viewing. Dance City and the Arts is home of The Holiday Dance Spectacular, The Musical Theater Academy and The Summer Youth Theater Junior. We specialize in Dance and Musical Theater classes and we also offer many other specialized performance opportunities for our students. Our studio is home of the Dance City and the Arts Dance Team which includes dancers from age 6-18. Pageant training is available and many of our students are title holders.

Our final Senior Spotlight is Deana E who graduated today from CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering. Deana has been dancing for 15 years as a member of the competition team. She will be pursuing an Astrophysics degree at Carnegie Mellon University where she will continue her dance journey. Her favorite dance that she was in is “Cotton Eye Joe” and she also loves “Freak A Zoid!”
Deana says that her favorite DCA memory is when Miss Julie kept them in class late and Alana started scratching at the door. 😆
Deana- you always know how to make us laugh. Thank you for always being focused and eager to learn. I LOVE watching you perform.

Our next Senior Spotlight is Sasha M. Sasha is a graduate from Bristol Central High School. She will be attending University of Connecticut studying Biological Sciences. 6 years ago, Sasha became a student at DCA and joined our competition team. Her favorite routine is “Let Me Take You To Rio.” Her favorite memory is watching her teammates from backstage and cheering each other on in their solos.
Sasha- You bring a calming presence everywhere you go. Your organization, commitment and positivity make you an incredible student to work with and we all adore you.

Our second Senior Spotlight dancer is Michaela L who recently graduated from Southington High School.
Michaela has been a student at Dance City for 14 years. She will be attending Tunxis Community College to begin her nursing journey as an RN. Her favorite dance was “Cell Block Tango.” Michaela says she will miss all of the friends she has made along the way and the instructors who have inspired her.
Michaela - I will always think of you as my tiny dancer in “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King.” ❤️ Watching your emotion in your senior solo shows how much you love to dance. I hope to see you continue to find a place on the stage.

It is time for our SENIOR SPOTLIGHTS!
Our first senior spotlight is Olivia L.
Olivia graduated from Southington High School and has been a student at Dance City for 15 years. She is a member of the competition team. Olivia plans to attend University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) to study Health Sciences.
Her favorite Dance is her first solo “Boom Boom Boom.”
Olivia said that she will miss talking with Miss Melissa in the office and spending time with her dance friends and family.
Olivia - You have shown such dedication throughout your time at the studio. Your position as a student assistant has inspired so many of our young dancers and given them the same great confidence that you show when you perform. I will miss you and all of the silly notes and pictures that you leave at my desk 😆
