At the Southington Knights Youth Football and Cheer, we are incredibly proud of our participants both on and off the field. With that in mind, we are excited to introduce a new initiative called ๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ป๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐, where we highlight the outstanding positive impacts our participants are making in our town.
Today, we are shining the spotlight on Gavin Formeister. Gavin and his family have been deeply involved with the Southington Knights for many years. Currently, Gavin serves as a youth referee for our spring flag program. He has always been there to step up and help our league whenever needed, and now, we have a wonderful opportunity to be there to help him.
Gavin is currently working on his Eagle Scout project, which is dedicated to helping and beautifying our local community. His project focuses on the ๐ฆ๐ผ๐๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฏ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด, where he will be removing a dilapidated fence and replacing it with a beautiful, natural "green fence" made out of trees.
To help fund and support this project, Gavin is conducting a ๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐น๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ, and we are making it easy for our Knights families to contribute:
๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ป: Sunday, June 14th, between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
๐ช๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ: Southington High School, during our spring flag football event.
๐๐ผ๐: You can drop off your returnable cans and bottles in the designated drop-off area right next to the concession stand.
