THANK YOU THURSDAY
While we miss our retired executive director, Debbie Meeker, she has left The Camelot Center in capable hands.
Emily Rhodes is now our executive director. Emily has been a fixture at Camelot since she was a young girl. She is a PATH certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor. Emily has grown into this position under Debbie’s mentorship for many years. We wish her all the best in her new role.
Alexus Buckley is our new barn manager. She is awaiting her PATH instructor certification. We recognize her strong organizational skills and her knowledge of all things horse related.
Josiah Gerthung started volunteering with us in 2017. His dedication to Camelot was very evident. In 2023, he was promoted to barn assistant.
Brooklynn Olson has been a Camelot volunteer for two years. She has recently been added to our staff as a second barn assistant. Brooklynn is always ready to help in any way she can.
We thank all four for their service. With this knowledgeable staff, we are certain that The Camelot Center legacy will continue. Camelot will live on to help others grow and excel through their interactions with horses.

THANK YOU THURSDAY
Where would we be without our faithful supporters! Last week, three of our most frequent donors came through in a big way.
Glenn Wilson, president of the Cortland Moose Lodge visited our facility bearing a great gift. We so appreciate the donation.
We also received large donations from ITAM #30 in Warren and VFW Post #3332 in Newton Falls.
The Camelot Center is very grateful to have such supportive friends who recognize that the therapeutic riding we provide helps so many. We thank you!

Thank You Thursday
In August 1995, my journey with The Camelot Center began, first as a volunteer, then as an instructor in October 1995. Today, 30 1/2 years later, my journey ends as the Program Director. Yes, I'm retiring! I'm thankful for all the amazing friends I've made along the way, the memories, the riders that I've watched overcome challenges and bond with their horses. I'm thankful for meeting such wonderful volunteers throughout the years. I've been honored to work with some of the best therapy horses! Thank you to all who supported me during my time at Camelot. Now on to new memories with Bob and more time with family, grandchildren and enjoying retirement!

Look at Shoes’ beautiful ears! Those ears can be great signs of a horse’s emotions. Forward facing ears show he is curious and alert. If they are pinned flat back, he could be angry, afraid, or in pain. Relaxed sideways (airplane) ears can mean that he is sleepy or content. They can turn back to listen to his rider, or even have one forward and one back to make sure nothing is missed.

Those of us who work or volunteer at The Camelot Center are grateful for the privilege of getting to know these wonderful creatures and be able to introduce them to others.

Ziyler enjoyed his riding lesson today with Physical Therapist Melissa Pucak from Northeastern Ohio Children’s Rehabilitation Center. After his ride with Atlas, he showed us how fast he could run to collect a block for his tower.
