To the fathers by birth…
The fathers by choice…
The grandfathers who became dads…
The stepfathers, mentors, coaches, uncles, and father figures…

Thank you.

Thank you for your strength.
Thank you for your guidance.
Thank you for your presence.

The world needs good men, and today we honor those who lead with integrity, compassion, and love.

May you know that your sacrifices matter, your efforts are seen, and your legacy is being written in the lives you touch every day.

Juneteenth is not just a date on the calendar.

It is the echo of ancestors who refused to give up.
It is the courage of those who dreamed of freedom before they ever experienced it.
It is the strength that lives in us today because they endured yesterday.

Today, I honor the journey.
I honor the struggle.
I honor the resilience woven into our history and carried through our generations.

May we never forget that freedom was fought for, dignity was demanded, and greatness was inherited.

We stand because they stood.
We rise because they rose.
We build because they believed.

Good.

I didn’t survive everything I’ve been through to shrink myself for people committed to staying comfortable.

I’m not in competition with anybody.
I’m in alignment with purpose.

Every lesson sharpened me.
Every setback introduced me to another level of strength.
Every room I walk into now gets the version of me that healing built.

Psychologist. Healer. Leader. Mother. Visionary.
Still soft. Still solid. Still standing.

I’ve worn a lot of titles in this lifetime…
Psychologist. Doctor. Mother. Grandmother. Teacher. Philanthropist. Changemaker.

But beyond every role, every accomplishment, every sacrifice…
there’s still a woman choosing every single day to rise, heal, love, build, lead, and evolve.

This is ME.
Not perfect. Not finished.
Just purpose-driven, faith-filled, resilient, and still becoming.

I’ve learned that your power isn’t in pretending to have it all together…
your power is in continuing to show up anyway.

For the people watching me quietly…
the women rebuilding themselves…
the mothers carrying everyone else…
the healers who pour into others while healing too…

I hope this reminds you:
You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to evolve.
You are allowed to become everything God called you to be. ✨
