Skaters for Moore is a grassroots organization, originally started in 2005 & reformed in 2020, by parents, business owners, and skateboarders, united in the cause of advocating for the building of a skate park for Moore County & the surrounding areas.

We are proud to announce the creation of the Inaugaral 2026 Skaters for Moore College Scholarship program. We will be awarding TWO $500 Scholarships to a Moore County based skateboarders that will be attending a 2 or 4-year program (either at a trade school or accredited college) next year.

If you are a Pinecrest student, please see your guidance counselor for an application.

Soooo.... this ain't cool. So, can we please stop?! Every time we spend money on removing this kind of stuff, it takes away from money to giveaway Skateboards to kids that need them, certify skate instructors, and maybe expand the park one day. Do better..

Take pride in your park. Lots of people worked really hard to make this happen. So, just don't. Ok?!

And for all those aspiring to be the next Banksie, the Department actually made a graffiti wall for just ThIS purpose (see the last frame).

EDIT: we're doing our best to control the weather. Unfortunately, that's a hard thing to do, but it is supposed to let up later. We'll be armed with squeegee & blowers to make a session happen! Come out regardless and celebrate with us!

Today, Saturday, August 2nd, from 5-9pm, we start the annual tradition of celebrating those who have contributed to the Moore County Skate Scene, either directly or indirectly, and enriched the lives of those who still enjoy skateboarding today. Whether offering shelter, inspiring new tricks, or simply words of encouragement along the way, these people are the ones that are responsible for inspiring the community that continues to grow til this day.

The skatepark stands as a memorial to those people whom we have lost along the way and will continue to be one as long as the allows it.

Join us for a celebratory skate jam, birthday & Memorial bash, sponsored by the Baillie family and all those who love skateboarding and the positivity that comes from it. will continue to promote this as our mission moving forward, because & .
