Both adults and children are welcome. It's a great activity for parents to do with their kids. Participants learn age-appropriate self-defense, sparring techniques, forms, safety awareness, and much more through Taekwon Do, a Korean martial. Benefits of taking Taekwon Do include improved health, increased balance and flexibility, self-control, respect, and discipline. Not only is Taekwon-do a grea
t way to get (and stay) in shape, it is really helpful to kids. By practicing Taekwon-do, children learn respect for themselves and others, heightened concentration, and increased self-discipline and self-restraint. The self-discipline that develops as a result of learning and practicing the techniques usually carries over into other areas of the child's life. School grades often improve as your child learns to focus on objectives and to work toward achievement. The self-discipline and self-resect which Taekwondo develops can provide your child with the skills and mindset necessary to resist peer pressure. Through a balanced strategy of encouragement and well-defined expectations, martial arts becomes more than a sport - it becomes a part of who you are.
