Enhance your precision, balance, and confidence through a targeted blend of strength training, flexibility exercises, pointe-focused and ballet conditioning. For dancers ages 10 to 14+ about to transition to pointe.
This class is designed for dancers who:
1) Have just started ballet and want to boost their strength and flexibility training through focused ballet drills
2) Are preparing to transition to pointe work within the next 2 years
3) Are currently take at least two or more hours of intermediate ballet technique class each week
CURRICULUM: Through a targeted blend of strength training, flexibility exercises, and ballet-specific conditioning, students will focus on building the foundational strength and alignment needed for safe and successful pointe work. Emphasis is placed on foot and ankle strength, core stability, and proper alignment of the legs and body. Students will also engage in exercises that enhance balance, turnout, and overall body awareness. This class is ideal for dancers aiming to build the physical strength and technique required for pointe work, or for those recently promoted to pointe who may need extra support in specific areas. This is intended to be an additional supplemental conditioning class for you and not to be used as the primary source for your ballet technique and / or pointe training.
