OK people we are back on for our first trail work day of the season! Join us this Saturday (May 23rd).

The weather should be perfect: sunny and cool.

Meet at 10 AM at the Centerline Rd. parking lot.

Bring yourself, your loved ones, gloves, appropriate clothing, and some water. WNYMBA will provide tools and lunch. If the weather cooperates WNYMBA will have a group ride after lunch.

We'll be working on the northernmost red trail between intersections 24 and 25, rerouting a few wet and eroded sections of the trail. We'll be adding some really cool trail that will make this challenging section even more fun to ride and hike!

Also note, we've added May 30th for the second spring trail work day this year.

Just got word that today's trail work had to be cancelled. Sorry for the late notice.

Please plan to join us Saturday May 23rd!

Pay homage to your mother, Mother Earth that is!
Join us for our first trail work day this Sunday 10:00am.
Meetup at the Centerline parking lot.

We plan to work on the northernmost red trail between intersections 24 and 25. There are three spots on this section of trail that need reroutes. Traveling from North to South, the first spot is just past intersection 25 at a sharp left hand turn that is off camber and eroding. We plan on moving the trail approximately 30ft up hill to a better alignment. The second section is approximately half way between intersection 24 and 25 where the trail drops closer to the creek. There is a persistent wet spot and a fall line hill that are eroding badly. Here we'll move the trail up to a natural bench above the existing trail. Several switchbacks are needed here and would add some distance to the rerouted trail. The third spot is where the red trail crosses an unmarked trail and there is a large mud pit approximately 20ft in diameter. We would move the trail to the up hill side of the mud pit.

Hope to see you all there!

There have been several inquiries about the history of the Kellogg Cabin. Do any Friends know the story? Please share what you know in the comments.
