To our Chit Chat friends and family,

The Pacifica Pier is closed for good. Our cafe on the pier will be demolished shortly. We’d like to extend our love and gratitude to everyone who has been a part of our community through our ownership, and the time under Paul and Amy Kukielka whom we worked for and miss since they moved away.

This is a loss for all of Pacifica and the fishing/crabbing community. Tourism will be affected. Our staff deserve some support. The fishermen and crabbers have lost a gathering place, and some have lost their livelihood.

We still have our location in the Manor district. It is going to be a scary and difficult transition, both emotionally and financially. As we look forward into the next weeks and months, we’ll try to find the silver lining. In the meantime, we are beyond grateful for everyone who has reached out to us since we found out this morning. Pacifica always comes together for each other. Who knows what will happen next.
