Welcome back! The South Portland Community Center will re-open to the public on Tuesday, September 8th. Our Facilities staff has been hard at work over the past two weeks, freshening up the facility with new paint, new decking around the pool, refinishing the gym floor, waxing all floors, cleaning and more! We look forward to welcoming all back to a fresh facility full of programming this fall.

Our fall/winter/spring hours of operation go into effect beginning Tuesday:

Monday-Friday: 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
Saturdays: 800 am - 5:00 pm
Sundays: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Join us for an info session to Discover America's Music Cities on September 10 at 5:30pm in the South Portland Community Center! This trip is coordinated in partnerhip with Collette Travel with travel dates being in Spring of 2027.

On this trip you'll enjoy a finger-snapping, toe-tapping time on a tour of America’s most famed musical cities – New Orleans, Memphis, and Nashville. You’ll be hummin’ and strummin’ long after you’ve returned home.

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, there will be a college-level cross country meet at the Wainwright Sports Complex. Greenbelt users should be prepared for stoppages between 5 and 7 PM during the event.

One more chance to pick up FREE kids clothes before heading back to school! Bring what your kids have outgrown too or just come shop!

Our Swap Series returns this week! We'll have two opportunities for the Back to School Swap with the first being this Thursday, August 20 at the South Portland Communtiy Center. The second opportunity will be on Tuesday, August 25 at the Redbank Community Center. Both swaps will go from 4pm-7pm.

Last week we held our 3rd All Girls Sports Camp. This year we doubled our enrollment for the 2025 camp with 80 girls! Throughout the week girls tried 9 different sports. All sessions were led by women, who volunteered their time. Thank you so much to the following,
