South Park PA Skills Park

ALL THREE JUMPLINES ARE CLOSED. 
We were working on them all day today so they need time to firm up and dry. 
The rest of the features in the Skills Park are open.
 We hope to have the jump lines back online next week weather permitting.

The advanced and intermediate lines are closed for today Tuesday 9/15 and several more days at least while we are resurfacing it

Be alert when entering the Skills Park starting Monday 9/14
Material and equipment should arrive next week to begin the repair of Skills Park jumplines
-The dirt work will be repaired and tuned.
-Then, more Trail Armor will be installed to preserve the repairs.
-Some of the dirt kickers will be replaced by wooden kickers. 
-There may be some feature work if time and money allows

You may notice blue dye sprayed onto some of the vegetation in the skills park. It is now dry and not harmful to anyone.  The County Landscape Horticulturalist is looking after our skills park by spraying the poison hemlock.

We had a few cuts in the trail armor. As I was getting ready to repair it some kids were riding and I noticed a pedal strike at the landing of the adjacent jump. Some of them brought their bikes up to help me see it clearly.
I patched it per trail armor instructions. I also patched another one on the face of the landing.
We’ll buy their more durable version next time. 
I was at the lower temperature limit of the adhesive. That may be why it looks sort of sloppy.
