Monthly Work Party
Our next volunteer work day takes place on Saturday, May 16, from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm, and we welcome you to help for any amount of time you can spare. These sessions happen on the third Saturday of every month to keep our grounds and facilities in good condition, and your help is vital because the club relies on volunteers to stay operational. You do not need any special skills to help out since most tasks involve basic landscaping like trimming and cutting grass, and the directors provide lunch for everyone who comes out to assist.
Trap Program
Trap shooting is on our regular schedule on Sundays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Wednesdays from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It costs $5.00 per line and a box of shells is $10.00, and you are welcome to bring your own ammunition as long as the shot size is 7-1/2 or smaller. We have needed equipment at no additional charge (except for ammunition).
Monday Night Recreational Pistol
The regular league season has ended and we have transitioned to shooting variouis targets on the indoor range. Check out the Club's calendar for the various shoots. You can participate in these fun sessions at 6:45 pm on Monday evenings.
Metro Police Revolver League
Our team competes against other local clubs, and we are currently looking for new shooters. Matches take place on Thursdays at 7:00 pm on the outdoor range where we shoot .22 and center-fire rounds using only one hand. Any member can come by at 6:00 pm to practice the specific timing for slow and timed and rapid fire drills, and your scores will begin to count toward the team total once you officially join the roster.
Indoor Pistol Coaching
A group of members will meet on Thursday, May 21, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm to practice fundamental pistol skills through beginner drills. This coaching session is free for all members and focuses on building accuracy with close-up targets and improving safety habits. You must bring your own firearm, eye and ear protection, and 50 rounds of ammunition. We ask that you wear closed shoes and a hat for protection while on the range.
Open Range Hours
We have scheduled open hours on the outdoor rifle range for Saturday, May 23, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, and a rangemaster will be present so you can simply sign in and set up your own targets. Additionally, on Wednesday, June 3, the outdoor pistol range will similarly be open for all members from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
