Monday Night Recreational
Pistol League
Shooting with the Monday Night Recreational League
starts up again on Monday, September 14 at 7:00 pm on
our indoor range. Members pay $35 for the full 20-week
season, and non-members pay $45, with drop-in rates
available at $4 for members and $5 for non-members per
night.
We split the season into two 10-week blocks with a hol
iday break in between, and everyone wraps up the com
petition with a celebratory pizza party.
The 50-foot indoor range provides a great environment
to build consistency and test your accuracy on regulation
NRA targets. The course of fire walks through five dis
tinct stages, beginning with slow fire, moving into timed
and rapid drills, and finishing with magazine changes
and one-handed strings.
Bring your preferred firearm, 50 rounds of ammunition
(staying under 1200 feet per second for the indoor range),
and your eye and ear protection. A .22 caliber semi-auto
matic works wonderfully for the pacing, though revolvers
with speed loaders fit the time limits just fine.
When spring arrives, the fun continues with indoor
metal silhouettes and outdoor bowling pin shoots. Con

Scouts Coming for a Weekend
Boy Scout Troops 22 and 28 will be at the Club for a a weekend merit badge quest and
camp out on September 11, 12, and 13. They will arrive about 7:00 pm on
Friday, September 11 and leave about noon on Sunday, September 13. They will be
pursuing their Shotgun and Rifle merit badges.
For the safety of everyone involved, all ranges will be closed while the
scouts are on site.
If you would like to volunteer to help on the weekend, please contact Director Cris Warden or
Glenn Woods. If you can donate any .22 or shotgun ammo for their weekend, the Club would be
very appreciative, We have always tried to minimize their cost in obtaining their merit badges and
having donated ammo goes a long way in reducing their costs.
As Usual, All Ranges WILL BE CLOSED

Byrna Demonstration

on Sunday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m.

The demonstration is open to everyone, so bring a friend and join us on the grounds to explore these modern
personal security solutions.

Byrna Launchers were developed out of a need for a less lethal, self-defense alternative. The overall goal
was to save lives and keep individuals from having to cause irreversible harm while protecting themselves
and their loved ones. Byrna users can protect and defend themselves, their families, and their communities
without the need for lethal force.
A Byrna gun operates using compressed gas, typically CO2, to propel projectiles, which are usually .68 caliber
rounds filled with irritant powders. Byrna guns can shoot projectiles up to 100 feet and fire up to 20 rounds per
minute, making them suitable for self-defense situations.

CSC Members,

Carrick Sportsmen's Club is hosting a free handgun cleaning class for our members on Tuesday, 25 August at 7:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to learn and practice maintenance and care for your fi****ms. This is a hands-on class and has been very helpful to everyone who has previously attended. You're welcome, even if you know what you're doing and just want to set aside some time for cleaning your handgun.

We'll cover these topics:
Handgun disassembly and assembly
Proper inspection
Cleaning, lubrication, and storage
Bring your UNLOADED handgun (no ammunition)
Specialized tools for disassembly (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
Your owner's manual (if you have it)
A cleaning mat or old towel
Your cleaning supplies (cleaning cloths, fluids, brushes, etc.)
Note: We will have supplies on hand if you don't have them.

Handgun & Rifle Cleaning Classes. Registration is required. There is no cost for our members. Guests are welcome at a $15 charge each. Please bring your firearm (no ammunition) and cleaning supplies, if you have them.

Basic Handgun Class. The course will start @ 1 pm and will last approximately 4 hours. The course will be $35 for members and $50 for guests (cash or check at the class). Please bring your handgun, ammunition (50 rounds), a writing implement, notebook, snack/beverage (if you wish) and any questions that you hope to have addressed.

Developing a Personal & Home Protection Plan Class. The course will start @ 1 pm and will last approximately 2-1/2 hours. The course will be $25 for members and $40 for guests (cash or check at the class). Please bring a writing implement, notebook, snack/beverage (if you wish) and any questions that you hope to have addressed.

Selecting a Handgun Class. Registration is required. There is no cost for our members. Guests are welcome at a $15 charge each. The course will start @ 7 pm and will last approximately 2 hours. Please bring a writing implement, notebook, snack/beverage (if you wish) and any questions that you hope to have addressed.

All classes will be taught by USCCA-certified instructor, John Papinchak.

Outdoor Pistol Range OPEN hours. Bring your own firearm, ammunition, ECI, eye & ear protection. All members of all classes are welcome as a Rangemaster will be present. You can just head down to the pistol range where you will sign into the logbook, hang your targets and shoot. No program, just open hours for you to take advantage of the outdoor range.

Trap Shooting. Bring your own firearm, ammunition, ECI, eye & ear protection. Each round of trap is 25 birds. You will need shells that are size 7-1/2, 8, or 9 shot. Cost per trap line is $5.00. Ammo is available for purchase at the trap range for $10.00 a box of 25. Equipment may also be borrowed.

Rifle Range OPEN hours. Bring your own firearm, ammunition, ECI, eye & ear protection. All members of all classes are welcome as a Rangemaster will be present. You can just head down to the pistol range where you will sign into the logbook, hang your targets and shoot. No program, just open hours for you to take advantage of the rifle range.

Indoor Pistol Coaching. CSC Members are welcome to join a group of us as we walk through basic pistol shooting. We'll start off with close targets and run through a few different beginner drills each month. Our goal is to build good fundamental shooting skills and enable shooter confidence. This coaching is limited to CSC members and will be offered at no cost. Members must bring their own firearm, at least 50 rounds of ammunition, eye & ear protection and their ECI. Dress appropriately for the indoor range (closed shoes, ball cap, and no low-cut shirts).

Recreational Pistol. No registration required, however there is a $5 cost per weekly session or $35 for the entire program. All members are welcome to join us on Monday evenings at 7 pm for fun shoots over our 20-week program.

FOAC Seminar. Registration is required. However, there is no cost for guests or members. Register by emailing [email protected].
