Well, it’s official! After 42 years of operating our family owned business on South Padre Island, Virginia and I are finally retiring and Parrot Eyes Restaurant-Bar has closed. We are eternally grateful to our amazing friends, families, employees, and fishing guides who have been with us on this long, incredible journey.
In continued faithful service to our community, we did our very best to find an exceptional organization to take over our beautiful “little piece of Parrot Eyes” and we think you will agree that we hit the mark with the Del Rio family of the very popular and successful Yummies and Viva restaurants. We are eager to visit their vision of the future, with a new name and concept, sometime in the coming months!
In the meantime, we look forward to watching a lot of college football games, raising our chickens, tinkering in the barn with stained glass projects, tending to our garden, and being devoted and loving grandparents to our first grandchild who is due this fall.
