What a Start! 🔥

Our girls kicked off their first college showcase event with a perfect 4-0 record in pool play! 💪 Behind dominant performances from pitchers Megan Cox (2029) and Sage LaVigne (2029), and solid work behind the plate by catchers Reagen Allen (2029) and Emily Hurst (2029), Finesse allowed just 4 runs across 4 games.

Our defense was locked in—turning multiple double plays and making big plays all over the field. Every player on the roster contributed to an incredible start!

🏆 BACK-TO-BACK NSA STATE CHAMPS! 🏆

Our girls battled the brutal heat and came out on 🔥—winning 6 straight games on Sunday to clinch the title! In a grueling double-elimination tournament, we played 10 games total and finished with an incredible 9-1 record. We had to double dip a sister Finesse team in the championship games—and that’s exactly what we did 🔥

Despite falling behind early in both championship game matchups, our team never flinched. We trusted our talent, leaned on our grit, and turned up the pressure when it mattered most. In the end, our depth and determination overwhelmed the competition.

Every player stepped up with huge offensive and defensive contributions, proving once again what TEAMWORK looks like.

But let’s talk about the real MVPs of the weekend:
✨ The Finesse Mom Squad ✨
They kept the girls fueled, cool, and focused all day. According to Suzanne Hornak Allen, Sunday’s survival kit looked like:

What. A. Day. 💪🥎
Started at 7am, left the fields at 8pm. The girls battled hard and came out 3-1 on the day! 💥 We’re still alive and face the Louisville Lady Sluggers at 11am on Sunday.

Every single player stepped up and made big plays when it mattered most.

Shoutout to Piper LaFave (2030) and Reagen Allen ( 2029) for showing out this past weekend while subbing with other teams!

Piper joined Firecrackers Smythe 12U and helped them take home the championship at the USSSA Swing into Spring tournament in Saint Clair! Reagen suited up with Firecrackers Piconke and battled to a hard-earned 2nd place at the D1 Fastpitch Breast Cancer Shootout in North Ridgeville, OH.

Both athletes had big weekends and proudly represented Finesse every step of the way. We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to have you back in the black and blue this weekend!
